This season , flag stays down , waste a minute , offside , wow look var doing its job , isn’t it fantastic , var coming into its own .Absolutely pathetic

surely what’s absurd is the years we had to put up with perfectly good goals being disallowed, that was onside and only because of VAR that Newcastle got justice - yet people still moan about it.

I know it’s still messy at times but that goal is definately not a stick to beat VAR with

But you shouldn’t allow it by making Sheffield Utd think you’re not allowing it. No flags should be raised, let the game play without interference, then decide if it should count. Don’t have one official making a decision that directly affects the actions of players on the pitch, before then reversing the decision and going ahead with the outcome from the affected gameplay. It’s bang out of order. If the linesman doesn’t raise his flag, Shelvey probably doesn’t score. The defender would chase him down, the keeper would attempt to save. He could still score, but at least it would be a fair goal, unlike what actually happened.

The standard of our officials is at an all-time low.

hence why VAR had to be bought in - the officials simply can’t control the speed of the game anymore.
I’m honestly not VARs biggest fan and accept it needs a lot more improvement and transparency but the old system with refs and lino’s guessing at major decisions had become a joke - VAR has highlighted how clueless the officials are.
