We are treating it as a celebration, to celebrate the "new era" under the new owners. We are finally a club on the up, better players and better football being played. We will probably bring 7000-8000 true football fans all in party mood.
I'm putting a fiver on you beating us now.

Are these 7-8k fans not true fans for home matches then, when you average under 5k?

I bet they sing wwywyws to us within the 1st minute without the slightest hint of irony

Bloody hell, touched a nerve. It wasnt a swipe at anyone from the blue half, I always refer to our fans as "true fans", if I have offended anyone I apologise.
Yeah we only get 5000 home attendances but like I say it's a celebration, just like you guys going wembley, winning (beating sjoke hehehe), and having 500,000 at the parade.

That's correct, we get 4000 home fans but have taken around 2500 to both crewe and macc. Our away following is top notch compared to our home following but we are now on the up and hopefully with new owners we will slowly build up our fanbase, especially with the shite down the road doing so well.....

So if you're averaging 4,000 why do you claim 7,000 "real football fans"?
I'm not taking the piss out of your hardcore support BTW
And 2,500 for less than a 15 mile trip is hardly anything to shout about

Whoppa by name ......

ha ha. Good response! I bet you wish you hadn’t bothered coming on here!

Loads of lower division clubs take bigger followings to FA Cup away games against plum opposition than their average home attendance. Why should Vale be any different and why should we mock them for it?

Don't worry mate there are some sensative souls on here, not that I blame them with the way the media and football authorities have treated our Club recently.

Hope you have a great day out and like your visit to our superb stadium, what are your feelings on the ridiculous kick-off time?

He's just guilty of enthusiasm.

As I said, i am not having a go at Vale's hardcore support, but I'm pulling up the Whoppa on his claim that they will bring 7,000 PROPER football fans
If they were "proper " then surely their home attendance would be 7,000+ average

But they could quite easily be Liverpool, Man Utd or even Stoke fans but they chose to support the Vale.

I take your point but he's just proud of his side. Vale will hardly be alone in getting a huge support in the FA Cup and small crowds in the league. It's their day.
