The Labour Party

The saviour being touted on here by a ragtag bag of Tories and Labour leavers, David Milliband.

Wonder where he stands on Brexit?

No idea but he hasn't played any part in trying to stifle brexit and would have no say in being able to stop it.

He is also the quality politician that should be in charge of labour instead of the ragtag bag of fucking marxists and Antisemites we currently have.

As opposed to the ragtag bag of Randites and Islamophobes you voted in.

I think this defeat has been coming for a long time now. I think brexit accelerated it and many people now view labour very differently.

I feel like labour treat millions of their own voters/ areas with contempt. They couldn’t care less about people in say Rotherham and went with the London crowd.

They will never win an election without winning those leave seats. The areas that made the labour what it is.

What I find bizarre is the view from labour supporters of ‘ the majority of labour voters are remainers..’ ok let’s just ignore the whole area and the constituents and only care about people who voted labour previously. Entire areas that voted 70% to leave, but let’s ignore that

Ignoring the result of the referendum and coming up with a sham referendum between remain and a brexit that deals with absolutely none of the concerns of the people who wanted to leave.

It was a complete betrayal and I'm somebody who thinks the UK would be better off in the EU.
How does that make somebody the oxymoronic hard left fascist.

The Labour party were not in power, their position therefore is an irrelevance because it could not be acted upon. As it happened I disagreed with it and still do, but the real extremists are the FBFE twitter crowd. mostly metropolitan liberals or in Labour party terms Blairites. They have cost us power through their inability to back the leader and pursue a narrow highly driven lost cause. They are the real cunts in this election, after the philandering liar of course.

The reason they're not in power is because of their position (amongst other things) so it's entirely relevant.

There are people on both wings of the Labour party who wanted to cancel the referendum result or sneeringly disregarded it as 'advisory' so you're right on that - and I'm under no disillusion that Blair/Campbell aren't cut from the same cloth in that regard. But the left must take the brunt of the blame because they were in charge of the party and plenty of the non-Brexit stuff was equally toxic to voters which they knew but disregarded anyway.

I see a split with the PLP forming a new party. Building a membership online instead of door knockers (how quaint).
The shower of class traitors who backed JC and his mafioso will carry on and loose the few remaining MPs. The Unions will then need to decide where to go...

The tories killed the Liberal Democrat’s in 2015 and they have killed the Labour Party in 2019. It is not a good thing to have no opposition, hopefully both parties can get their act together which will start with the right leader and strategy.

Which class am I betraying?

Labour have condemed this country to being a one party nation. No different to Russia with Putin.

They went with the far left doctrine and tried to hide behind the utter twaddle that was the huge threat of the far right. Pure hypocrisy, denial and a down right refusal to listen to millions who were sick to the back teeth of being accused of far right sympathies and racism for supporting brexit or disagreeing with them in any way shape or form.

They are finished and have nobody to blame but themselves. A desperate rabble who threw millions of decent moderate folk under the bus.

What genius ever thought a bloke who had rubbed shoulders with the IRA and Hamas would ever be a serious proposition with the electorate.

What absolute dimwit thought a party who's supporters could do no more than cry racism when called out on having Dianne Abbott on its front bench, home secretary no less.

It is hard to think of an instance of utter arrogance and stupidity comparable since the bloody French thought the Maginot line was a good way of stopping the Germans invading them.

Simply unforgivable and tragic.

There you go, thats why this happened because to say that suggests its written by a right wing Tory voter.

I am no such person, i hate the Tories with a passion, i didnt vote because i could not stomach voting for Labour or Tory. A decent moderate Labour party would have mine and i am confident millions of votes, more than enough to beat what are an evil self serving murdering shower of cunts as i am sure you will agree.

Thatis the kind of people the Labour party have been absolutely battered by. Are they really going to persist with such nonsense of blaming the nasty racists for such a drubbing?

Infact i will give you a little more insight, i am currently in Portugal until next Friday and it makes me feel physically sick thinking about having to return to the Uk.

I would genuinely if there was any possible way to avoid it never set foot there again. I consider the place a broken, disgusting shit tip full of unpleasant horrible people with nothing whatsoever there for me. Absolutely fuck all. Sadly health and finances make it utterley impossible to avoid.

There is not one single thing i can say i am looking foward to, i detest the country i used to love and the politics left and right are 99% the reason.i will never forgive the politicians nor those who voted for the for what they have done to my country.

So your assumptions of my right leanings demonstrate very clearly i think my point about how labour and indeed the remain fraternities default settings are deeply flawed and wildly inaccurate at best and how they have alienated plenty of decent moderate people even more than the thoroughly unpleasant self serving Tories.

This election shows that you and your ilk are the problem and not the solution. Any dissent or alternatives are sneered at or derided as right wing or Daily Express (pathetic). I live in Blyth ... ffs - a former mining and fishing community. 36% of children live in child poverty and the rest are not much better off. IT VOTED TORY. Well done JC and your zombie cult. Thanks for at least 5 years of absolute Tory control. Jobs a goodun. Anyone still defending this take on socialism is responsible for what is to come to the NHS, schools and social care etc. Enjoy the wilderness you have created because no one else will. The Labour party is dead. Defunct. Not fit for purpose. Lacks integrity (why is JC not resigning) and identity. All this and VAR killing football for me.....

I think it could be a long time before labour get back into power. They chose a form of politics that most people in the country just won’t vote for. I like the idea of renationalising the railways, but a lot of it seemed like fantasy spending...

The left and labour come across as very patronising and look down on people with other views. They’ve forgotten their heartlands and moved so far to the left and metropolitan London. People care about their country and labour sound like they hate the country

I can’t see anyone who could lead that party now and actually connect with people. They need to do some serious rebranding

Unfortunately their current voting system basically means Mclusky gets to choose the new leader till union control is curtailed Labour will struggle.

The hard left in the party have spent years telling Blairites to fuck off, whilst having a half arsed Brexit policy, which has combined to make both moderates and traditional industry towns to drop them.

The issue is the leadership of the party and their direction, as well as a holier than thou attitude from some supporters.

The vast majority of the country do not want socialism and half the country wants Brexit, you’re leaving yourself with a small window of people that will actually like your policies.

It’s why it’s the worst Labour defeat since 1935 and it’s why many of those that voted Labour only did so because of hating the Tories more.
