Var debate 2019/20

But hardly any in key moments of games, unlike City.
There's no way I'm championing Spurs' cause on a Man City forum.

Once again, I’m not comparing Spurs’ treatment to City’s. Just trying to shatter this myth that Spurs are always on the end of beneficial decisions.

Fellas.........I’m not going to reply individually to all your responses to my post. Too many of them. Suffice to say that, with respect, I don’t think any of you have properly read what I wrote.

I don’t in any way deny that City have been very harshly dealt with by VAR. I fully understand your anger. Nor was I in any way trying to compare Tottenham’s treatment at the hands of those who operate VAR to City’s treatment. You’ve unquestionably had worse.

I merely addressed the commonly repeated accusation on here that Spurs have been overwhelmingly advantaged by VAR - and the concomitant implications of corruption on Spurs’ part. It’s simply not true. Spurs have had at least as many bad decisions against them as for them.
I haven't watched too much football this season because of the way VAR is used but I must admit I don't particularly think of Spurs as having benefitted from it too much, like most of the teams in the league you've had some go for you and some go against you. I think the general opinion of Spurs benefitting from it is because of the decisions you have been given against us in the last couple of seasons.
Personally I think now that Mourinho is at the Lane you'll get the Liverpool treatment next year. Big name manager, new name on the cup, one of the most famous players from the Far East and the England captain up front will really be too big an opportunity to pass up for the PL.

You absolutely understand how it works mate.

I've jotted down VAR this season as much as I could. The times we have benefitted and been screwed over. I think we would be 8 points better off without VAR

Anyway, I hate VAR, I've repeated this ad nauseam. People wanted this shit and now complain about it. Refs are blasted for missing things, having reffed before you miss so much by being distracted, off guard, obstructed view, ball watching, diving etc. Human error is normal, people watch all these shitty replays from every angle then think the ref should see it, do me a favour. Goal line technology is fantastic, the rest is horse shit.

VAR is wank

The operation of it by corrupt / inept officials from PiGMOL certainly make it a complete fucking farce, but there are two clubs who are benefiting so much , that it has to be a deliberate policy decision by the bent fuckers at the PL / FA .

Dippers and rags who bring in the most income due to the billions of braindeads will be permitted to thrive whilst other clubs get shafted . It is an absolute disgrace .

Are they prepared to kill the golden goose though ? It seems they are but football fans are not as thick as they think, won’t be too long before fans of other clubs rumble this then teams will be playing in front of half empty stadiums as there won’t be a point to the game . They may just be willing to take this as collateral damage to get Utd & Liverpool permanately back on top faced with the money they’ll make out of them .

I think they would risk it so as to keep the media whores at the forefront .

Irony of spurs fans coming on here now, complaining they've been hard done by, by VAR.......

Spurs away fans bouncing up and down singing virtues of VAR into our faces on the tram to the home PL game after that CL game.

No Spurs fans coming on here slagging VAR off then, saying they've been done over by VAR. City voted for it, so what you complaining

for was the general consensus?.... I believe? It will all even itself out over a season.........LOL

We were probably only team equipped to beat Liverpool that year in CL knockouts & VAR gave Spurs that task instead, rest is history.

FFS!

No one is complaining that Spurs have been hard done by! Please read more carefully.

Crouchinho and I have merely, in response to repeated claims to the contrary (along with implications of corruption), pointed out that Spurs have had as many bad VAR decisions go against them as for them. That is all. It’s really not that hard to understand!

As to Spurs fans singing about VAR after the first game of the season, had you previously been living in a protective bubble for all your football supporting life?!! It’s called banter. Not brilliant banter, perhaps. But predictable nonetheless. It isn’t meant to be taken seriously or literally. Especially not five months later!

Firstly,

I dont think "FFS" is a justified response to my directly quoted post

If you are going to quote me, try to just limit your responses, directly to my comments, not your continuing exasperation with other comments.

I've not said city or spurs have had more or less var decisions go against, or for them, So I dont need you, in a quoted response, to tell me,why

is that not hard to understand? You tell me I need to read more carefully? I have read all previous posts by you and the other poster you name.

My point was clear and precise...it was about the irony..

It merely pointed to the irony of any spurs fan on a city forum complaining now, about VAR, after that CL game when no Spurs fan was coming on here

complaining about VAR and your away support was screaming to us how happy they were with VAR then. You previously posted here, how you were done

over by VAR when they didnt send off one of the opposition players in one of your matches., Frederick's?, I've not seen that incident. I have no comment

on that incident one way or another and whether it in anyway supports your continuing dialogue with other posters. However, it merely provides support

to what I actually posted. Eg a Spurs fan, posting on a city forum after that CL game, complaining of having VAR decision go against them....& the irony.

Why you then accuse me of living in some protective bubble....or patronise me, that I dont understand banter, or again by trying to educate me by informing

me that its not meant to be taken seriously or literally.........

My initial post started with Irony, maybe you didnt read it carefully or maybe it was lost on you

Sigh....

Once again, neither Crouchinho nor I were complaining about Spurs having been "done over" by VAR. We merely cited a number of instances in which Spurs had had decisions go against them in an effort to put an end the repeated accusations of persistently favourable treatment towards Spurs and implications of corruption on the club's part.

No you fucking haven't, liar.

I can see what you're saying. Seems fairly reasonable to me.

Am I the only one who noticed Spurs goal by Sessengon was offside. Watched it back a few times I think it's clear. His left foot is on the 18 yard line as the ball is played (and the frame after) and there's a clear view of the line all the way across with nobody or part thereof goal side. No review, no replay, no lines on pitch, no comment, fuck all.
It didn't matter re the result but fuck me! Someone explain to me why not?

Spurs innit, been the same all season

Does anyone think that once it is 100% certain the dippers will win the league than City will start getting some dodge VAR decisions in our favour. So they can than say it's the same for all clubs or it evens its self out over a season .

Looks like it might have started today as the dippers had a goal ruled out by VAR.
