One of the pleasures of retirement is having time to do shit. And do shit you should, otherwise you become a bit brain dead.
I've decided to watch all the Bond movies early next year, in sequence, they're all on Stan. an Australian streaming service similar to Netflix.
I'm going to be open minded and give even Tim Dalton and George Lazenby a chance. :)
Giving each one marks not just for the actors, but for direction, storyline, cinematography etc.

What's your favourite, if you have one. ?

Casino Royale with Craig is my favourite followed by Skyfall, which as it happens I went to watch last night with the Halle orchestra playing the score live.

Absolutely superb. loved it.

Sean Connery didn’t like
George Lazenby shit Bond but good movie
Roger Moore for me Best Bond
Timothy Dalton Good Bond
Pierce Brosnan Good Bond Shit Movies apart from Golden Eye
Daniel Craig Don’t like him Casino Royale Good rest rubbish used James Bond just to make Action movies

I will never watch the dalton or Brosnan ones they are very much shit. Moore was very tongue in cheek and hard to take seriously but some were good fun. lazenby fucked up he would have been good and the film was one of the best. Connery and Craig got the role right for me, Bond needs that ruthless side to be taken seriously. Connery edges it and I like Goldfinger and the not very highly rated diamonds are forever but I like them all from both actors.

Living Daylights and Goldeneye are two of my favourites from the franchise.

Oddly, I’m yet to watch a Daniel Craig Bond film all the way through.

Don't forget that Timothy Dalton is a blue. Born in Colwyn Bay but moved to Stockport at a very early age. He was interviewed at City Square a few years ago.
Who'd of thought that James Bond was a Blue?
I believe that he got refused entry to The Etihad a couple of months ago because when he was scanned they found a Walther PPK under his armpit.

I enjoy the old ones, but expect the fun police will soon stop us seeing the connery and Moore ones due to sexism and even racism. Some of the newer ones I enjoy as action movies but they don't feel like bond. It's all a bit of a franchise like star wars now. One day I must read some of the original novels to see what they are like.
