Well that would be a mistake but we have hashed this out before, they were overjoyed when sergio didn't play the derby and got confidence from itSergio needs minutes and I can see him getting them on Sat and then Jesus getting the nod against the rags
Not looking back but to where we are now and the fitness and form of both playersWell that would be a mistake but we have hashed this out before, they were overjoyed when sergio didn't play the derby and got confidence from it
There isn't much to choose between Aguero and Jesus overall this season - see the analysis from whoscored.com
I think Jesus is currently the form player. Once he got a few games under his belt, his game picked up markedly.

We needed gabby to step up for the rags game and he didn't,no stats will ever make him the better playerThere isn't much to choose between Aguero and Jesus overall this season - see the analysis from whoscored.com

Well he was scoring goals in aug/sept then pep rotated him out for no reason, sergio has just come off a 30 goal season and was playing better than ever,he is not past his best, nowhere near the same situation as the older daveNot sure what you are saying here but stats can quite easily "make" Jesus the better player. He needs to contribute more goals/assists than Sergio.
Sergio is one of the greatest strikers in PL history or even the greatest. So, Gabby might well fail to become as good as Sergio. But Sergio is 31 and isn't going to get any younger. Time is making Gabby better, it's inevitable. Hope Sergio and Dave win the CL this season and end their careers on a high but truth is they are past their best. Sergio started the season brightly and scored many goals in August and September but has contributed very little since the start of October. Hope he regains form and soon.

If anybody does guess Saturday's starting eleven, they are a genius. Almost impossible if you ask me.
Sergio was everywhere the other night, younger legs can do it better of course but when we force the opposition into mistakes he moves very quickly to get on the end of it,he has the experience to know when to use his spurts of energy, younger players will run for days but it doesn't mean it's much more effective, thats why i don't like stats, the game is not black and whiteHe is not in the same situation as Dave but he has lost a bit of explosiveness. He was arguably the most explosive forward in the world, now Vardy who is older than him is more explosive and far quicker. Sergio has played much more football than Vardy and all these years in football have slowed him down. He is still a top striker but he can't offer the running and pressing that Jesus can just as Dave can't run as much as Foden. We are supposed to defend from the front and both Sergio and Dave can't do it as well as the younger players despite giving everything they can. They will continue to contribute and I hope they contribute also in the CL because they deserve to win it.
He just came back from injury ffs. Played one, scored one. Stupid fucking postNot sure what you are saying here but stats can quite easily "make" Jesus the better player. He needs to contribute more goals/assists than Sergio.

Idiots in here were writing David off THREE YEARS AGO. 198 points in 2 seasons later....Not sure what you are saying here but stats can quite easily "make" Jesus the better player. He needs to contribute more goals/assists than Sergio.

You rave about fucking Steptoe, as most people are, but isn’t Sergio’s PL goals per mins ratio actually better than his this season? And that’s despite the rotation and injuriesHe is not in the same situation as Dave but he has lost a bit of explosiveness.
