I like @SWP's back as a poster and i was a bit of a twat the other day, reacted badly and apologise for it.

Kindly stated. I confess I didn't pay too much attention to your and his tit-for-tat but passions get engulfed in flames pretty readily when it comes to Trump.

We all have to separate our politics from the undeniably-twattish bit of roadkill currently occupying the White House. It's harder for conservatives to do, but I've done it and I'm no liberal. It is difficult to find someone more fundamentally-unqualified on EVERY level for the job of POTUS than Trump. I believe that should be clear and obvious to anyone semi-thoughtful regardless of political persuasion.

Oh, the unintended irony of those who classed "Orange Man Bad" and "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as pejorative tropes and memes when that is, of course, EXACTLY the problem. He IS bad. On every level. I could agree with every possible policy perspective he had and I'd still want him out ASAP. Not that I'd know what the perspective of a serial liar is. I'm glad he's getting tougher on opioids and e-cigs, for example, but that doesn't, can't and won't change my view on him.

But I have the luxury (read: misfortune) of having paid attention to his particular brand of dishonest and narcissistic fucktardism since the 1980s.

A little later for me. I happened to pick up a copy of the Art of the Deal in the mid-90's. I skimmed through it, but couldn't get into it as EVERYTHING about the man just screamed 'needy c*nt'. Since then I've kind of kept an eye on his 'meteoric' and weird rise to power.

Interesting that 7 high ranking Pentagon officials have resigned since the beginning of December. I mean, It's not like the Pentagon could do with being fully staffed at the moment or anything given the state of play in the Middle East.

I'm willing to bet that those who have jumped have seen the writing on the wall over the Ukraine scandal. It is now looking increasingly certain that VP Pence was in on it, so that also puts his staff in the frame.

If both Pence and Trump are implicated and removed before the election (highly unlikely, unless something significant drops), then Pelosi would take over as interim president, as I understand the line of succession.

The Director of the Minnesota Republican party...

Unlisted meetings with Saudis? Probably standard practice, right? Miller is Associated Press.

Nothing to see here... all completely above board.

You can tell because Jared Kushner, the world’s preeminent negotiator and strategist, is present and not at all seated in a manner that implies his participation was an afterthought.
