Probably not but they usually console themselves with ‘they all lie’ rather than admit they’ve fell for the con

We’ll see what happens but I will bet that Brexit won’t be a catastrophe but may have a slow and long drip, drip effect similar to that of austerity(the government’s own assessments think that as well but we’ll put that to one side) so there will never be a ‘oh, I fucked up’ moment. Similar to United under Solskjaer, it could be worse and maybe it might get better so just plod on

And rather than look back and say austerity/Brexit was a bad idea we will blame poor people and foreigners better known as scroungers and immigrants - maybe teenage, single mums will be back on the front pages as they’ve had an easy ride for 20 years

We’ll be told that the Greggs’ worker with a little bonus is ‘cheating’ the system, headlines talking about raising the points required for entry. Like we had to sack police and nurses and close libraries because there was an economic crisis but people still went along with it and 10 years later still lap it up

You get the drift. There will be no ‘nadir’ just something else to get angry about. Maybe something to do with vegans and ‘woke’ people.....

Yep and they won’t even realise that their hard fought for independence from the EU is a sham because we’ll be following most of their rules anyway without a say in formulating them or getting them changed if we don’t like them. No vetoes, no exemptions, just toe the line.

For now... and the EU hated that that was the case.

The way the trend was going with the EU, that was all going to change. Thank fuck we're out before they had a chance, eh!

Those were negotiated opt outs - the things that a group does to maintain the collective. We were keeping the pound and our policy on refugee's and immigrants was different. It was just some fucking extremists convinced you ( without any concrete proof ) that was going to change. For various reasons that I won't mention because I know you get offended people bought into a theory and a lie over the actual fact of the situation.
