The fear is near.

They’ll get their chance now we’re leaving when we sign up to the deal we need.

Seems that we were strong enough when in the EU to negotiate opt outs but would be too weak going forward to maintain them.

Now - going forward - as a weak negotiator we will be strong enough to negotiate a trade deal with the EU that is better than the one we have now despite their treaty making that impossible.

Fucking deluded doesn't come near to describing it.

For now... and the EU hated that that was the case.

The way the trend was going with the EU, that was all going to change. Thank fuck we're out before they had a chance, eh!

So they haven’t been ‘dictating’ as stated by the original post, thanks for clearing that up as I’m sure he’ll be pleased to know and might even change his mind now he knows the reason he gave for leaving is false

Those were negotiated opt outs - the things that a group does to maintain the collective. We were keeping the pound and our policy on refugee's and immigrants was different. It was just some fucking extremists convinced you ( without any concrete proof ) that was going to change. For various reasons that I won't mention because I know you get offended people bought into a theory and a lie over the actual fact of the situation.
And after all this time you still won't get it.

Had the EU remained as it was, remained as a trade bloc with co-operation between it's member states, leaving would not have been an issue. But the EU, the administrative EU, the political EU, the ones whom even it's own members cannot abide, were working towards changing what the EU represented, what the EU was, and what it meant to be a member.

It wanted more control it wanted more power, it wanted to be seen as something 'greater' and many became opposed to that view. You say there's "no concrete proof" when you yourself once adhered to the concept in the other thread that "it was well known that the EU was always going to become a political bloc".

You are so blinded by EU loyalty, so indoctrinated, that even you fail to acknowledge the statements made by the likes of Barroso, Von Rompoy, Juncker and recently it's two most leading members national leaders Macron and Merkel, all reciting the same rhetoric. You will never understand why the public of this nation had enough, and that it wasn't a vote to leave the current EU, it was to prevent us being absolved into the future EU that many of us did not want to see, and knew this was our only opportunity of halting it.

They have been slowly dictating aspects that we have needed so many vetos that we are effectively not a member of the EU and merely a trade partner. Yet It was costing us a fortune just to be a member and many in the EU were working on ways to get around our veto's.

But none of you will ever understand or see that because you cannot provide any negative opinions about the EU such is your indoctrination. You can never find it within yourselves to criticise the "Emperor". Name 5 if you can.

No - YOU don't get it. So blinded are you by an irrational fear of the EU that you take comments, statements and suggestions as concrete proof with no acknowledgement as to how the democratic workings of a parliament of 28 member states works. Comments by officials isn't official policy and suggestions by certain people isn't immediately law. You were sold a pup and consistently roll out your fears as proof - looking forward to the impact of Brexit - will PMSL as will Farage from the safety of France, Banks from the safety of Gibraltar sadly Johnson will have to face the ire of both sides of the argument when it all turns to shit. You enjoy your escape from a made up state of affairs that belongs in your mind.

Thank god we’ve taken a leap into the unknown rather than blindly follow the path to the unknown
It was "unknown" only to the ignorant that refused to see the writing on the wall.

Thank god we have many amongst us who did. Bring on the Americans.

It wasn't irrational numbnuts.

I WAS a supporter of the EU, until I became interested in how the system they had worked, where it was heading, what it was planning, how they regarded the United Kingdom and it's citizens, and what future they saw for the EU and it's place in the world.

I am a child of the EU, born in it, grew up in it, taught to respect it and to love it, and knew nothing before it. So all talk of Empire, Rule Britannia and other bullshit is wasted on me. I am of the generation that saw the EU for what it was, not indoctrinated to continue to believe there was nothing better, like you. I don't care about Farage or his campaigners, I never did. My decision was based on my own personal opinion of what the EU was striving towards, from their own mouths and their own words. And I didn't like it.

And you cannot fathom that, can you. That someone who was once supportive of the EU turned against it from their own opinion. No wonder your "side" keeps losing every major political debate. You refuse to accept that not everyone is a sheep like you and should just "accept" the EU as infallible.

So you’re happy for whoever else is president to dictate our future.
Understood.
Why not.

You were. I seek a relationship with both America AND Europe, you only want the latter, to be further involved, and to distance this nation from any connection to the States.

Can’t think of anything.

I can think of loads
The main one being not having to watch that idiot stop Brexit cheerleader who was interfered on all tv broadcasts What a tosser.
He should go live in Brussels if he loves the EU that much.

No mate - I have had 3 years of your deluded fantasy of an evil EU dictating to the UK and how you see freedom and trade with the rest of the world post Brexit. You are away with the fairies - the US won't be a great benefactor - the former Australian PM has said we are deluded if we think they are a way of seeking our fortune - Johnson talks of trade with Japan, who having signed a deal with the EU cannot offer us anything better than the deal we would have if we remained in the EU - the EU are going to be a tough nut to crack. Congrats you got your blue passport - the rest is an illusion in your mind end of.

and thats the top one? The one you think is the main benefit is something that wasn't even a thing pre-referendum?????? That sums up Brexit.

Now who's the one fabricating a future that hasn't happened.

Isn't having an opinion on something powerful, or in my case, liberating.

One week to go!
