What? A bit of a stiff breeze and a few drops of rain? It took more than that in the old days. You should have seen the pitches and weather conditions that prevailed at Maine Road when I were a lad.

Not to mention when I used to play at Hough End fields in conditions that resembled a Vietnamese paddy-field.

Get the buggers out there and get the match played!
 
Just looked at trains. Anyone confirm?

Normal times through stoke macc etc then Stockport but says a hour and 10 mins from Stockport to Piccadilly, that can’t be right surely??

Might be a replacement bus service because they’ve been doing that between Stockport and town off and on for a while now - work on the line going on off peak. I have a mate who lives in Macc but socialises in Manchester and it drives him bonkers.
 
Just looked on train line and the 9:32 from Hazel Grove arrived at Piccadilly 2 mins late at 9:56. Where is this 1 hour 10 mins from Stockport to Piccadilly being reported?
