Pep must know this is why City fans are at odds with UEFA. At least one of the reasons anyway.

We want to win the CL but we don't believe we are being given a fair chance.

God UEFA are in a mess over this.

Had a long glance over the CAS document, all 35 pages, and what it important to note is that we can still appeal any AC decision from UEFA and pretty much all of the issues we raise have been dismissed as inadmissible, rather than as being unfounded, due to technicalities like not exhausting other legal routes first, not waiting for a final decision (as we thought the process and thus decision was compromised) etc. Not because we've not got a good case.

The paragraph on the leaks is most interesting, I do hope we have some more concrete evidence to push this, as it could really rip UEFA apart.

This bit was the most pleasing to read:

The alleged leaking of information by members of the Investigatory Chamber or the UEFA administration about the proceedings against MCFC is worrisome. Again, the Panel is mindful not to trespass into the authority of the Adjudicatory Chamber to address MCFC’s procedural complaints in detail. However, it must be noted that MCFC’s complaints as to the leaks do not, on a prima facie basis, appear to be entirely without merit, particularly concerning the First and Second Leak, […], and the Fifth Leak, which refers to an “insider” at UEFA as the source. 114. It puzzles the Panel how the CFCB Chief Investigator could be so confident to “vehemently reject [MCFC’s] allegations of unlawful activities, either by myself or by any of the members of the UEFA CFCB, in particular of its Investigatory Chamber (IC)”, and to state that MCFC’s allegations regarding the leaks were “groundless in the merits” and to “assure [MCFC] that at no time, myself or any of my fellow members of the IC have violated any rights of your club”.

Basically CAS are questioning the Chief Investigator. Regardless of the final AC decision, there could well be an investigation into him personally now. Either he, an underling, or someone with access to his data could have leaked the info, and the timings of the newspaper headlines makes even CAS sit up and take notice.

I therefore can't see how they can hang anything on us, as well be straight to CAS to get it thrown out. That aside, once a decision has been made and CAS can act without influencing a decision, I think CAS are also now duty bound to recommend to open an independent investigation into the leaks. We may not even have to do anything, besides push for damages, especially if one of these media outlets were to leak the leaker, so to speak. Now that would be dynamite.

Good analysis. I think this latest development is key and may go some way to explaining the deafening silence from UEFA. I thought the best way out of this for UEFA was to hit us with a fine - which would placate the clubs pushing for us to be punished.... and UEFA having been seen to have done their bit uefa would be protected by the CAS overturning the decision. Now however, the stakes look much higher - can uefa afford for this to even get to CAS with the prospect of an investigation into ‘worrisome’ leaks and the prospect of damages. UEFA seem to have dug a fucking great hole... let’s hope they bury themselves.

Be interesting where Uefa go now will they just give us a warning slap on the wrist and say don’t do it again! Or come out with after reading the cas report we we will drop all investigations. Or will they also name the culprit for leak and throw
Him under bus?

Most probably say they investigated and dealt with said individual even though he actually resigned. Then ban us. City will go to CAS and get it over turned. Our reputation is still tarnished and UEFA will have appeased the old guard by telling them they tried to punish us but got off on a technicality

I'd love to see UEFA have to pay City damages.

Not enough to finish them because what is put in place instead could be even more history club run. This could have been United and Liverpool's plan all along.

It needs to be bad enough to stop this nonsense from ever happening again but no more.

Call it £50 million and wagon wheels all round.

Oh and UEFA have to change their CL anthem to The Boys in Blue (will never give in)

Journalists never report the truth. They report what suits their agenda.

Please can everybody read this and take it in. Loads on here piling into Nick Harris saying he is stupid, a liar etc. He isn't either. He knows that if you keep peddling a lie more people will believe than wont, especially if they want to believe the lie.

The Times and New York Times are still respected as reliable publications. They have reported the facts in a fair way. It is clear that UEFA are on the ropes and for CAS to publically criticise EUFA's Chief Investigator is positive for City. This will surely trump anything put out by social media trolls like Nick Harris.

When the stakes are so high I hope both sides will compromise.

If not, and the Cartel European Royalty clubs and their owners force UEFA to sanction and ban City, I hope City take UEFA to Court and drag the Cartel clubs and individuals within those clubs through the courts. We might as well get banned from the CL with a bang and out every f***er who has plotted against us.

Can anyone explain in layman's terms what has happened ?

I will try. I assume you know about the original FFP ruling on City. This document noted that City paid the fine without accepting any wrongdoing. It then notes that UEFA charged City after the football leaks. Because UEFA started leaking decisions to the press, 5 separate leaks are detailed by City and reproduced in this document City felt they had to go to CAS if for no other reason than to stop the leaks which were damaging Manchester City's good name. Whilst CAS have stated they cannot rule on it as City have yet to be punished they have told UEFA to stop all leaks and if they don't they are fucked. The last bit is deffo laymans terms but that is what they mean.
