We need to make sure the etihad is like this when Madrid come to town

Why is it never pulled up the scale of fines in relation to ffp. “You can’t afford what you spend but pay us tens of millions and that’s fine”

Yeah, I don’t think we would accept a negotiated settlement with UEFA, but that seems highly unlikely now anyway. Quite plausible though that CAS decide on a one year suspension.

That acknowledges wrongdoing. It says we have broken rules.

This is going to get really messy. By UEFA guidelines it would appear that we have done something we shouldn’t but that doesn’t make it wrong.

Winning the appeal and having everything exonerated is critical because that then frees us up to go after that actual process that is FFP, and in turn UEFA.

I couldn’t give 2 fucks about the CL, but it will hurt the football club.

I want us to bury these fuckers, once and for all.

Not much. Some posters have given up due to the inevitable banter on social media whilst others have suggested that their fannies need a wipe.

Others have suggested that our owners won’t take it lying down, whilst others have said they have been a soft touch so far.

Pep and some players may/may not* leave as a result.
*delete as appropriate.

Some wanted to highlight there is some form of agenda, whilst others don’t think there is.

Oh and it’s either Gundogan or FFS Mahrez’s fault.

enjoy your beers and we’ll all continue the rollercoaster that is supporting City.

And tomorrows Saturday so it's not all bad news

St Samuel jumping ship as well.....so soon

By MARTIN SAMUEL - SPORT FOR THE DAILY MAIL

"There will not be much sympathy for Manchester City in football. They misled UEFA and its Club Financial Control Body. They inflated figures, deceived over revenue streams, and the size of their punishment, the suspension from European competition, the fine of £25million, is confirmation of the gravity of this offence."

did we really Martin?
He does say this, immediately following that paragraph:
If this case is proven after appeal, City did wrong, that is unarguable

I don't think he's on anyone's side, he is atleast calling out FFP for what it is. A weapon of the cartel of football. Braver and more honest than 99% of the journalists out there.

The full article is a very measured and sympathetic one. No problem with MS, he’s the best of the press pack
yeah right, he didn't write this opening para then?

very measured.....just padding his posterior in case we don't win the appeal - you wouldn't think he needs it

.

What? We fell foul of rules hand crafted to make sure we did? And PSG hasn’t. Well colour me surprised.

Deep down we all knew it would come to this, the club must have too. How many years has this dragged on for now? It feels like forever. UEFA, the media, individuals have all chipped away at us, fined us, bad mouthed us with impunity and we have stayed silent, smiled, "Taken a pinch." It doesn't work. It never has. Bullies have to be confronted and defeated, that is always the way or you stay a victim forever. Now is the time to fight the lot or roll over and die. No more appeasement.

We should take the whole ffp protectionism rule to the court's, no way is that legal, what do we have to lose?
