What was Galatasaray’s CAS appeal all about?
This Forbes article is a fairly good summary of the outcome of the appeal. It didn’t strike down FFP, but it did plant the seeds for a more comprehensive challenge, should a club with sufficient resources to mount one choose to pursue it.

He’s also the reason we didn’t win the league in 1973 despite being top with a 4pt lead. We signed him mid-season and ended up 4th.

Sorry mate, but I disagree. Malcolm Allison was the reason we lost the league. He talked the Board into buying him and put him straight into the team when he was clearly not match fit. We were virtually playing with 10 men.

I don't know if it's worrying, but a couple of blues that have met me in the past reckon I look a bit like him. Might have to have a talk with me mam.
There are worse people to look like.

I could be wrong, but my reading of that threat is that they wouldn’t make public the evidence, and I don’t think an appeal to CAS requires public disclosure. However, if we take the appeal further and/or mount a case against FFP itself, the evidence will have to be made public unless sealed by the court officials presiding.
Ceferin will be claiming the dog ate it.

And following on from the success of Galataseray, PSG also won their appeal https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...int-germain-decision-upheld-cas-a8830166.html

The fact that they made that assertion in the first place, though, tends to make one believe they aren’t entirely confident that the evidence for their decision is sufficient and/or comprehensive within the context of statutory review. I know from a few reports about UEFA’s concerns with the Galatasaray CAS appeal there is a contingent within the organisation that don’t believe FFP would stand up to scrutiny if framed as illegal restriction of trade and investment.

Is this what we have been waiting for?
So we can totally destroy this shit

And it left Tony Towers in the shadows, who up till that point had an amazing season.A player like Marsh was not needed at the time.

Thought it was a 6pt lead not certain though. In the days of 2 pts for a win too. My late old man used to call him a "bloody carthorse"....

Indeed.

The more you think about this ban in the context of previous UEFA actions, subsequent efforts to fight those actions, the outcomes of related appeals, and they way UEFA have gone about this investigation, the more it seems a last disparate thrust of a cornered animal. Especially when you consider that Sam Lee and a few others with decent contacts at the club and UEFA didn’t think they would attempt to impose a ban at all. I get the sense — and this is complete conjecture, mind — that there was some sort of last minute concerted effort from various interested parties (perhaps including threats of exposing privileged information) that forced UEFA on to this course. And it is likely UEFA was not unified in the decision.

He would of sent the emails straight to der spiegel and saved the need for the hacking :+)
Don’t ever let the likes of Nick Harris or Miguel Delaney ever tell you that City supporters don’t have a sense of humour or ownership of mistakes our club has made.
