Leicester City (A) - Post-Match Thread

Thought we got a little lucky with the KDB handball decision. Quite often in those situations a ref will warn players in the wall to keep their hands down. Would certainly be given in European games so needs to be careful in future and not let it become a habit. Deserved the win though as we were the better team overall (especially the 2nd half). Happy for Jesus to get on the scoresheet. Think he needed that after Wednesday's game.
Hands were not above his head and were protecting his face. Weren’t extended, either. Not a chance that’s a handball...but that doesn’t stop them being given, especially in Europe. And here I was thinking FIFA’s Laws of the Game were supposed to be consistent across federations?!

Conversely, the Praet arms were extended towards the ball as he turned away and would be given anywhere in the world. His face was never in danger.

Correct. Plus, having seen it over again in slow motion KDB actually diverted the ball towards the goal. It was otherwise going wide. The ref and VAR both got it right (for once).

Great win, controlled the game throughout. Felt we could've gone up a gear at anytime. Leicester living off scraps with Vardy.

Really weird with what's going on with the penalties. It's to the point where we might as well try Eddie.

Thought Kev was brilliant today as was Fern, Mahrez and Gabby. I'm not a fan of Mendy but thought he had a good game.

What the hell is going on at Stockley Park ? First not giving a red card for the Spurs player and then (luckily for us) not giving Leicester a penalty. Both stone wall, easy decisions yet they cant get it right. Clearly we have to get rid of VAR it isn't working !!!!

Lastly, anyone else see Schmeichal have a little kick out at Gabby after he slotted home.
It's been renamed Bletchley Park because nobody knows what's going on there

Sorry, just back from BBC HYS dealing with a few ibecilic feral cretin moronic scousers trolling the forum.

Eddie has to start taking penalties. The chance that he misses and we concede as part of the same passage of play is minute. He has to take them.
Tell me again how much cash we spent on world class players and we have to rely on our goalkeeper to hit the net from 12 yards - embarrassing if we have to resort to that

KDB looked tired towards the end - surely we should be resting him for Madrid games ? Foden should have started v West Ham and maybe Leicester - league over weeks ago so may as well throw him in from start in PL games - he will never improve if he doesn’t play

Pep Guardiola on #LEIMCI: "Don't ask me about the attitude of these guys, if you still doubt what they have done, this group of players winning seven titles in the last eight competitions we've played in..."

"The way we've played and our personality, there's no doubt about that - the reaction we had after missing the penalty against an incredibly good team. I'm so pleased for the victory and the way we played."

I was extremely pleased with the reaction after the penalty. First class.

It’s not really swings and roundabouts though. We get the decision against Leicester but there’s no way we get it against Liverpool or United or Spuds even.
Leicester feel hard done but they should realise that there is a bigger picture and they are obviously not considered part of it by those in power.
The optics are swings and roundabouts. The reality is far more subtle in it’s manipulation.
Leicester were part of the bigger picture ....a few seasons ago.....just not considered part of it at the moment,by those in power.

true but big time players produce when its matters most ? aguero will score a big pen when it matters most you back him more than anybody else

I wouldn’t because I don’t think he takes a good pen, even when scored they’re not overly convincing.
