Surely the E-mails will be in the hands of the police as evidence in the trial of the hacker, not some magazine office.

Is it possible that UEFA don't have the original emails? Our 'lack of co-operation' is us saying prove it? Co-operating would give credence to these emails which we probably deny. After all, if they exist, are sitting on a server in a police station in Portugal and are unlikely to see the light of day?

Der Speilgel were given 2 hard drives plus an unknown number (presumably) after that, the police lifted 14 from his house when they raided it. I've not seen anything about DS giving up their drives to the police, let alone letting UEFA have a gander. The ones the police do have are encrypted by all accounts (or at least some of them).

So how would us cooperating have gone..

UEFA - “We hear there might be emails, which may or may not be genuine, which might, if read a certain way, suggest city have been topping up sponsorship deals. What have you got to say?”

City - “No idea what you’re talking about... can we go now?”

I think its probably more like "these emails suggest something untoward, can we have a look at all this extra financial data we've got no right to ask for to check you guys are legit?"

..."Nah you're alright".

You’d know more than me but I assume this software can search for particular terms. Have Der Spiegel or others only searched terms like ‘Manchester City’, ‘Etihad’, ‘Dirty Arab Oil money’ etc....

Lol, don't know about that bud. I presume you can enter multiple search terms and it will trawl through everything finding links and showing forensic trails of email chains and documents. Some poor sap will still have to work through it and try and make sense of things.

The first element of the investigation focuses on whether City breached the Premier League's Short Term Cost Control measures between 2013 and 2016, a regulation that has since been abolished.
As far as I’m aware, that would be illegal.

The CPS can’t charge someone for homosexual acts from 1950 in 2020 as it no longer illegal.

That is a superb article. I think you are right and this is the smoking gun. It is interesting that the Associated Press and Al Jazeera were used by Qatari Intelligence as a vehicle to deliver the smears against those people who had been targeted. That resonates a lot with the sort of coverage City have received in the last 12 months. I actually think some UK journalist have been duped. For example the total change in the way the The Times sports reporters portray City suggests strongly that they are now aware of the bigger picture.

Associated Press is Rob Harris's employer. And he also appears on Qatari channels Al Jazeera & BeIN Sports frequently. BeIN being owned by Nasser Al Khelaifi of course.

The thing that struck me about him bragging about having all the passwords in his head is that it's an invitation to eliminate the risk of him spilling the beans. In his shoes, I'd be saying something along the lines of "all the relevant passwords are in safe keeping with instructions as to their disclosure in the event of anything happening to me".

Of course it will. Ww can deal with UEFA but we have to take the fight to the real enemy and I imagine that will be fought out in the public gaze. Their first league title in 30 years and they'll be choking on it.
There's an element of Chinese whispers here. PB here says he imagines City will fight Liverpool in public. This is his opinion, but it is suddenly being interpreted as a fait accompli.

We have to survive and prosper, we are hopefully going to be playing the top teams in Europe as part of our future. IMO we have to fight the charges but still maintain a working relationship with other top clubs where possible.

Normally i would agree, except they are the ones(g14) who wont allow a good working relationship whilst they have so much power

What are we supposed to infer from this bit as well? "“I talked with Rui’s family a few days ago after City were banned and they told me that the first thing he said was: ‘Why only two years?’” says Buschmann."

So Pinto is a hacker but it doesn't necessarily mean he is an authority on business finance, FFP or the inner workings of EUFA. The guy is a thief, why would he automatically be considered a valued opinion on the merit or severity of any UEFA judgement?
Because it’s a fucking snow job
