That is indeed an interesting observation. But Ceferin being the godfather of Andrea Agnellis child is on the other side practically member of the family in the Italian way. I do not trust him at all.
If the godfather thing is true, that just smacks of Agnelli trying to keep him in his pocket. Doesn’t mean he is.

I don’t know much about Ceferin, but the little I do know, he’s a lawyer and clearly has a sharp mind. You can see that by how he reacts to the journalist’s questions.

Second, him winning the UEFA presidency was seen as a surprise at the time because he campaigned on a ticket of looking after the smaller clubs and countries. It was assumed the big boys were wary of him getting in.

Compare what we know about him to what we knew about Platini.

Anyone any ideas when we will find out the date for the CAS hearing?

Also how soon could it be? For example they normally announce about a month or so before the date.

We don't know
Its obvious that it depends upon how busy they are then the panel has to be selected

Given the comparatively short time before the ban from UEFA competitions takes effect on Manchester City (i.e. the commencement of UEFA competitions for the 2020/2021 season in the summer of 2020), the parties may elect, by mutual consent, to an expedited procedure (pursuant to R52 for appeals and R44.4 for ordinary arbitration proceedings). If the parties cannot agree to expedited proceedings, a party can apply for ‘Provisional and Conservatory Measures’ under R37. For example, Manchester City may be able to apply for an order to the effect that the ban is suspending pending exhaustion of the CAS proceedings.

It wasn't just twice, it was also at 2 games that meant next to nothing when there were far more interesting games to be at.
Exactly. If he was working with the FFP chamber against us, neither side would have wanted him to show his face publicly at the Etihad.

He also alluded in the interview that FFP would evolve to allow more investment money to come in to football. The exact opposite stance of the G14.

Is that Phil Collins ? I thought he was dead ?

Sorry mate I've no idea who they are, but it still bothers me that if it's not a direct connection, who would want to misdirect it to make it seem like it is, it IS an obvious Scottish connection, Bruce ?
The second one is Bruce Buck and the first one starts with a Duncan :)

So a poster called @Blue Bruce states why would Berrada be telling someone on a fans forum @Prestwich_Blue some positive information, that very same poster finds Berrada at Wembley asks him to verify the information, not only does Berrada tell him he didn't say any such things but there would be reprecussions, then another poster says that sounds all legit and quite a few posters like his post, FFS is this the twilight zone!

Hmmm, so PB who is on this forum, on a fans forum with the club and is on many respected podcasts and is considered an authority on FFP and would have many links with City and various people also connected with City is being called a bullshitter by a poster calling into question of any such meeting or discussions with Berrada happening by saying that he had a discussion with Berrada who seems to have took him under his wing divulged all information with him and then discussed the fallout from such conversations, all with a complete and utter stranger who has no known connections with absolutely no one at the club, and posters immediately latch on to this and take as gospel!!!!

I have zero connection to PB or BB, but FFS people why is some random poster with zero credibility as yet being given any sort of voice against a poster who we can at least verify actually interacts with our club, has many connections with people outside the club on FFP and has history of giving relevant information regarding our club as opposed to a poster who says he had a full and frank discussion with a senior club official who he just happens to meet and obviously was instantly trusted with sensitive info, it makes zero sense.

Also after a brief 30 second look at BB post history, he has had quite a few digs at PB, was concerned about Neil Harris mental health and was singing the praises of the honourable Iain Duncan Smith whilst calling various other poster 'lefties' who happened to comment IDS was maybe a bit of a prìck, so yeah BB is definitely a dude to be trusted and complete faith put in and definitely would not be someone with other motives for posting in this thread.

I definitely have no knowledge of how this case is going to play through, like many I read on here and try to follow and believe the club when they say we have irrefutable proof, will that be enough for CAS, who knows, but there are other forces at work who have fùck all interest in our club and don't give a flying shìt about lies\truth in this case, they just want our club gone and will do anything to achieve that, and believe it or not there are some posters on this very thread spreading disinformation, journalists have listed posts from this very thread in their reports!!!

Trust who you wish, but at least give it some thought, and I for one will be glad when all this absolute nonsense is done and dusted, I just want to watch my club play a game called football...

spot on

Organisations are trying to survive and prosper, with competing pressures from rivals. UEFA's role and our club's survival at an elite level are both under serious threat.
It seems Cerefin, in confidence, was trying to broker an acceptable settlement with us, exploring what punishment we would agree to? We played hard ball, because we thought we had done little wrong. UEFA has imposed a draconian punishment likely because it anticipates a significant reduction of sentence on appeal. The G14 cartel are happily waiting in the wings, it's a win/win as far as they are concerned.

Only in football could this happen. It’s a complete conflict of interest and undermines what little credibility Ceferin has.

Ceferin comes out and distances himself from FFP makes distinction between FFP and UEFA and make a distinction between FFP and UEFA looks like setting up for a an adverse verdict against FFP but also allowing us back into the fold which will have to happen even if we get the ban because we will be back eventually.

Also talking of maybe changing FFP could be related to the up coming result but could it also be the fact that UEFA and FIFA comps are about to change what with the New second Europe League type competition and the changes to the Club World Cup possible new African League and the new Champions League style summer friendly we are about to buy a French club. The some of the French League rights are owned by a company that will do a subscription service. We are perhaps in a position with Silverlake CMC and the number of clubs to start our own club competitions and subscription services.

The new FFP rules where described as being about allowing more competition and money this fits with the above could also be because of the potentially very strong clubs in the UK like Wolves Leicster Shefield United Leeds eventually ? These clubs cannot be fitted into the Champions league not also along side us and the old guard not in its current format but you cannot ignore them Especially when the prem is so much richer and even poor prem teams will have some of the bets players managers and richest owners. This will only get more obvious if we start to see more Facebook Amazon Netflix Disney involvement in the prem

Every fucker shows their face at the Etihad no matter how they have treated us, do you not know by now that we are seen as the mugs of football.

We have these twats rocking up for a freebie then we have the media scum bags doing the same, all the time whilst our customer services bend over backwards for them. They are afforded 5 star service but fucking hell, god forbid you have an issue with a ticket or other normal run off the mill stuff when following a football club, then you are treated like you have some nerve to ask for basic service

I spoke to Omar myself at Wembley and asked him if he said what he's supppsedly said to PB. He denied it and said he only told the group (city matters) that he thought another deal would likely be offered

Can’t really back this up, I was in the dressing room making sure pep and every player understood the roles I wanted them to play in the game - then after I was trying to get the players to clean up that bloody mess they left behind in the dressing room so we got our deposit back.

So I didn’t see you speaking to Omar.

FFS we can all play this game all day long Bruce

Who has had a public spat with PB ?
Who stands to gain from discrediting PB ?
Bruce suggests to me there may be a Scottish connection, or is that a 'Red Herring ?
Who would benefit from either scenario ?

For anyone wondering, PB has more than enough credit in the bank when it comes to City, it may not always turn out correct, but it will always be given in good faith.

The name Bruce just makes me think of Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk?

Showing my age now, but there are a few green-eyed monsters around these days and you certainly wouldn't like Khaldoon when he's angry...

Tariq Panaj in the New York Times says he is godfather to his daughter, she is 14. Ceferin only got elected to UEFA in 2011 when she was 6 and became president when she was 11. They are either genuine friends or Agnelli has been playing the long game Tony Soprano style. If he befriended a member of the executive committee of amateur side FC Ljubljana Lawyers before 2005 with the idea of propelling to him the top job in European Football to look after Juventus then you have to hold your hands up to a job well done.

Ceferin is like the UN Secretary General. He's the titular head of an organisation which has numerous members whose agendas don't always coincide. He can't control what those individual members, or blocs of them, do. He can't solve the problems of the Middle East or anywhere else on his own. Some of the members are dictatorships, kleptocracies, responsible for wars, torture, murder and other human rights abuses, despite all the high-minded declarations. All he and his secretariat can do is try to bring people together and stop the whole thing getting too far out of control. As well as setting up and running organisations that seek to limit the fall-out from these issues, both military and humanitarian.
