Political compass thread

Whereas I.. cannot even shoot a .22LR without mountains of paperwork, where I need to provide a "good reason", in which the Government will decide if my reason is good enough, and even then... maybe.
I really feel for you guys. I did some research and your handgun rights were taken away after some massacre in 1997. Now if just one person had a hand gun during that massacre, it could have been avoided. The criminals, as you well know, go to where they will have no resistance. We've had people go and shoot up schools. Why? Because in the front of the school there is a sign saying "Gun Free Zone". So the criminal knows he won't find anyone there with a gun. You never hear of a guy going and shooting up a police station.

Less authoritarian than I thought. Probably because I'm not religious or homophobic.

i saw your result so decided to take the test and my result is more or less exactly the same.

I'm a long term (many decades) Conservative voter so I'm not sure it is that accurate.

I voted Conservative once in 1979 8-(

I did think the question were shite though and thought I had to pick and answer rather than the answer picking me if you get my drift.

So bored in a monthly meeting and decided to do this. Always imagined I was center right leaning which kind of leaves me without a horse in the race currently

Economic Left/Right: -8.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.79

I find both a little surprising. The second one is the more surprising of the two, as I think people need to be guided. Or at least, the majority do. In that sense, I consider myself an elitist.

This test also puts me further to the left economically than I feel I am. It perhaps reflects my suspicion of corporate capitalism, as opposed to capitalism per se.
