Yes Dom very puzzling, the one that always stood out for me was David Davies, reading the local news one minute ,a few years later he's top dog at the Fa,yet his only claim to fame was marrying miss m/cr city in the early seventies.

He went from Look North West - as you say reading the News... I think he then got a Communications job at the FA and then inexplicably he landed the top job. Perhaps he just put out a communication announcing himself as Chief Exec and no one else at the FA noticed. I think they were all famously shagging their secretaries around that time.[/QUOTE]

not only that, but his junior sport news reading partner, Paul Newman, went with him and also was in one of the top FA jobs

At some point between, he was the BBC's chief political correspondent. This must have been around 1985 or 1986, because I remember stduying politics in sixth form and my teacher being absolutely scornful that a local newsreader should have landed such a job.

Don't know how he did it, but he obviously had powerful connections to progress as he did. He certainly didn't gain those positions on his merits.

Hmmm a picture of one of the the countries most prolific paedophiles holding a baby.

Anyone knowing Cyrils background would know he was hugely influential in the Westminster paedophile ring.

David Steele thought he was harmless enough and has got all defensive about the whole episode when his failure to act probably put many in danger. Fucking clown... never liked Steele - self righteous little fuck.

Yeah I carefully chose a link a few years old as all the recent ones from reliable “bbc” & the like would be written as he’s a naughty boy, there wasn’t a paedophile ring & here is someone who we jailed for making such suggestions.

I need to do some reading but didn’t Barbara Castle when she was in government have a dossier on the so called paedophile ring - which allegedly was seized by the security services - never to be seen again.

Davies is a dirty rag but he didn’t go from reading the news to top dog at the FA He left the BBC to go to the FA in 1994 in a PR role. In August 2004 he stood in as CE when Palios resigned, following an affair, it was only a short spell towards the end of his time at the FA. Barewick was appointed CE and began in Jan 2005 Davies retired in 2006
