I'm assuming it is the rate of deaths per closed cases (those either discharged - or had symptoms and now don't - or dead). Viruses take the weaker ones first so it creates a higher initial CFR at first and then it reduces. It's harsh reality.

I wouldn't use Indonesia as a stat. quite a few reports they are barely doing any testing for it.

Thailand too. I don’t believe they’ve only got 35 cases. They are driven by tourism, they’ve already lost thousands of Chinese tourists due to the lockdown.
