I think unfortunately we will only know how its panned out when its panned out. I've read a lot and listened to a lot and watched a lot (like all of us) and haven't heard many scientists/experts having much of a disagreement with how the UK Govt is trying to handle this. My only point is, if they bugger it up and we all end up in a mess, yes there are serious questions to answer and no doubt heads will rightly roll, but as yet its all up in the air with a lot of different views on how the Govt should be handling things. I hope they are following the advice of the best scientists the country has, which are amongst the best in the world.

gavvo your smoking some serious shit tonight,in your previous post your looking for browni points for Borris now with this posts its heads will roll,make your mind up matey but dont spout shit,have you not followed top doctors blogs 'Dr Campbel' on youtube who will point out where the govenment in this country is going wrong, or seen the 60 minute Australia docu, there is another dozen i could point out but yet you say there is no disagreement between scientists,have you actualy done research into what you are saying or just woke up this morning and are new to this

Mate, seriously come back when you can spell or at least post well structured sentences, with a decent idea of what you are trying to say. At the moment you are just proving you can't do any of these. Be kind to yourself and call it a night. Honestly, I have no gripe with you and wouldn't want to you look any dafter than you're looking right now.

2.5 weeks ago Italy had 11 cases, now 631 are dead. How much encouragement does a government need ?
 
Gotta get tough on this thing. Something tells me the governments decision to wait and see is purely an economic one. This thing is serious, spreading quickly and has proven to be deadly. Sporting events, concerts etc just really don't matter when you're talking about people's lives. Get tough on it now and we could prevent this being unnecessarily spread.
 
Well, I tried to play football for the first time in months tonight (over-35 lower tier league, so not especially competitive) and, although I needed to be subbed a few times for my low fitness level (it has rolling subs), I was decent until stoppage time...

...when — while trying to avoid a tackle — I managed to turn my left ankle, dislocate my right middle finger, and possibly fracture a metacarpal bone (I tried to avoid making the ankle injury worse by sticking my hand out on the turf to shift my weight, only for the opposition player to stamp on it accidentally).

All of this is to say, I am now well and truly primed to get COVID-19, as my luck has completely gone.

I played 3 games of 5 a side tournament on my last cruise, nearly killed me, I'm 67 hahaha

Ha, I really thought I was doing well, and now am going to have trouble ****ing typing for work tomorrow.

I am very fortunate to work from home entirely, though, both because I won’t be able to walk properly for a few weeks and for isolation in the current situation. ;-)

If it turns out we are worse than everywhere else then fair enough ask questions and demand answers. But if it turns out we are no worse or even better than most places because the Government did the right thing at the right time, then they will deserve credit. At the moment people are understandably scared and the bottom line is no-one knows how best to respond to this, even the scientists don't agree, lets not assume everyone has a hidden agenda.
