So, the symptoms so far are, fever, dry cough and runny nose. Is that really all we're going on, because thousands will have those symptoms in March. Just what do you do?

I thought a runny nose meant you are OK ?

Oh right yeah. It wiped out half of South America. It was eradicated in the 60’s though thanks to vaccines.

That’s what I was getting at, without a vaccine anyone who hasn’t had the virus is open to infection, from those who maybe immune but incubate the virus.
I don’t know, a few whiskeys and my mind starts asking theses things!

26000 tested - presumably mostly of people who are aware of some risk - and 25700 not infected.

korea have been testing 10k a day for weeks.

apparently we ramping up to 10k a day now.

Yep. I’d love nothing more than this turning out to be a nothing burger as the markets would go back to normal and I could earn some money again so any and all fact based hope would be greatly welcomed.

It’s the odd bit for me that a fair few on here seem to think a person with a progressive autoimmune disease is *hoping* this becomes a Spanish Flu like outbreak.

I never said it was normal flu. I think it's bad and we should be doing more, or have done more. I just don't think it will kill between 100000 and 500000 people in the UK like you do.

No it won’t reach them figures, the government will step in, but the effect on our normal living life is going to be huge in the coming weeks. I‘ll be amazed if most of the country are still at work in two weeks times

I think most will preempt and work from home within the next week, well those that can.

It’s those that can’t I worry for but hasn’t the government changed sick pay laws in relation to this?

The work issue is a worry. But what will be will be.

Yeah if you do mate it’s not worth your life. As committed as many of us are to our jobs it’s not as important as being healthy.

I’m unfit but don’t have serious health issues so should be fine, at 27 so I’m more concerned about not being affected for other people’s sakes.

Im 27 myself mate, I was that kid at school that had flaky skin, asthma and died when hay fever season came about. I don’t believe the hospitals have the capacity in this country to cope with the shit storm that is coming.

I wouldn’t take the risk mate still but I wouldn’t be overly worried. The people who have died under 30 were on death’s door with really severe illness already.

Yeah I’m concerned about the NHS, civil unrest and economy to be honest.
