Professor John Ashton really went off on one on Newsnight - Should've been done a month ago, Won't be enough beds, should've tested everyone coming back from Italy, crazy to have Madrid supporters in Liverpool tonight spreading the virus in bars, stop treating the public like children, government needs to get a grip etc.

Everything he said was in complete contradiction to what we've been told the past two weeks. Not entirely sure what to make of what he said in truth, part of me is hoping it was all politically motivated. Possibly irresponsible of the BBC to have him on if what he's saying is not true.

Whys that then?
 
Easter holidays is two week away from sunday.

I expect a lockdown to be anounced friday for schools/college/uni so 4 weeks closure.

Whether they also lockdown other institutions , who knows


Just my opinion.

I feel more inclined to be telling my 80 year old mum to not leave the house very often, which I’ve already done, but for me I don’t see what I can do other than carry on as normal until I’m told not to leave the house.

I’m relatively fortunate that I can run my business from home, my missus works at same school as my daughter so when that shuts they will both be home, and my lad will no doubt get sent home from Uni soon enough.

For others though I appreciate it must be a fucking bummer.

Personally I would advocate doing nothing that doesn’t look after your family

My view too.

Although I think it will be a week Friday as Government trying to hold out for as long as possible to minimise impact on economy etc.

It's only a matter of time.

A friend of mine is a teacher and many of them believe this will happen. The only problem is that it may be too late.
