Hard to see anything but a cancellation of everything - league, champions league, euros. Has to be the right move for me.
Tough on those immediately effected - champions, those going for promotion etc. But all of that is, ultimately, entirely inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

I would take a season call off with them not winning PL and us lose our chance on CL AMOTD:DD

They will have probably won the league by then though, only 2 games left to win i think?
It is crazy. i don't want to see any competition cancelled, but i struggle to see any other way.

Wow - would be a huge move if true.

I work in a schools and there are no talks of what would happen if there was an outbreak but schools are in touch with the health boards/advice.

Schools will try and be the heroes in this and stay open regardless, even though we have a battle plan drawn up for two weeks.

In 1939 the league was abandoned after 3 games due to the outbreak of war. Blackpool were not awarded the title despite having a massive 1 point lead at the time.

Null n void, but I cant see that happening. If I was on of the 3 clubs fighting to stay up and having it play without fans it wont help them. The only fair thing is to scrap the season for all clubs.

This is bigger than the feelings of just one club from liverpool, lots fo clubs could be relegated or even go bust. Football needs fans. Null n void is the only fair way

Great to see the pathetic no hand shaking att the start of the Liverpool game, then proceed to sweat, grapple, spit all over the pitch for the next 120 mins , finally shaking hands at the end. Pathetic. Almost as pathetic as shaking elbows. There's a fair few clubs that will be at risk without gate receipts and big TV money . No doubt the players will continue to get paid to sit at home and isolate or rest. Meanwhile the lowly working class will be docked wages and suffer higher tax hikes to cover for the inevitable financial meltdown of everyone staying at home. How long do we all stay away from each other? and if it reappears do we hide away again? It 'll be interesting to see what this enforced worldwide reduction in man made CO2 emissions brought about by no factory production , travel embargoes etc does to global warming ? It'll make fuck all difference

They will be an exception to the rule, every one of their fans has probably had a letter through asking if they mind catching Coronavirus or not, and giving them a choice if they want to carry on attending or not. No other fans get this option of course, lol.

League 1 and League 2 as well, a number are already struggling, they need match day revenue to exist.

The government could sort this if it so wished. They were spunking billions yesterday.

Euros definitely need cancelling, immediately.
Postponing the league, possibly the CL as well, and then finishing off over the summer may be an option. But where do you go from there? If the season doesn’t end until mid-/late July, there’s no way you can start up again in August. Even September would be tough.
I can’t really see a viable alternative to cancelling it all, tough as that is to accept. And then hoping we’re all clear to resume as normal next season.

If the dippers get the premiership do teams still get relegated and promoted from the other leagues as it stands now ? That's not fair you cant just have a winner in the premier league and not in other leagues !
