Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

What's the choice? Postpone and fixture congestion or neutral venue in the West country? Teams have completed fixtures in higher rated areas than their base. As long as precautions are in place and City travel to from London in a 'bubble' - coach to airport and charter plane to MAN.

After today’s announcement I can’t see the season continuing for much longer without a break. Most of the south is now Tier 4, most of the north is Tier 3. If this variant is as transmittable as they are saying I can only see large numbers of players contracting it.

Yep I thought that as well unless the players go into their own bubbles again and Walker gets his girls over. Only take one or two to get it and it will spread quick, I think the season will be extended again and Euros binned.

Who are they going to catch it from if they are sensible about what they do ?

I still can’t believe that all the games continue regardless of any tiers. The match officials must be vulnerable as must the TV crews. Do they all stay in their houses in between games?

All about £££.

Bump. Not heard much about clubs and Covid over the last couple of weeks.
Seems like they all took their eye of it (as did the general populace) on the run up to Xmas.
When everyone focuses on what to do to stop the spread it works. It's a continual battle, but we've been told this anyway.
