You’re right. Sky and BT and the PL and UEFA will be lobbying behind the scenes for the season to continue as long as possible. Govt will be torn between trying to look tough on the virus and worrying about the economic downturn.

They won't be the first politicians to put financial interests ahead of people's safety but if this is true, and it ever becomes public knowledge, they can kiss goodbye to their careers.

Cancel the sesson if the virus is not getting contained after a month.
These last minute cancellations are no good for anybody.
Plan ahead and stick to the decision.
No champions or relegation decided.Season null and void.

Cancelling not going to be an option. Far to much money involved. Sod the health of players and supporters. Money is king.

Uefa to hold meeting on 17 March


Uefa statement on coronavirus: "In the light of the ongoing developments in the spread of COVID-19 across Europe and the changing analysis of the World Health Organisation, UEFA has today invited representatives of its 55 member associations, together with the boards of the European Club Association and the European Leagues and a representative of FIFPro, to attend meetings by videoconference on Tuesday 17 March to discuss European football’s response to the outbreak.

"Discussions will include all domestic and European competitions, including UEFA EURO 2020.

"Further communication will be made following those meetings."

Thank you for sharing. Beautiful video of a key milestone.

The world owes China a great debt. Their scientists saved a lot of live by sequencing the virus in record time which allowed people the world over to diagnose and hence isolate the virus.
