Let’s cut to the chase. Forget testing, forget the idiot Trump, for the football - where is everyone going to be buried and how?

Will we be allowed to attend funerals? Will bodies rot in the summer heat etc? That is what we should be taking about, not if David Silva could play in July(assuming he’s still alive)

when i was tested they said there had been positives test in my area not yet reported on,that was nearly 2 weeks ago though,i don't know if they were drip feeding the numbers to the public or the system was jammed

Neither is good, or honest

Health minister's mother tests positive

Nadine Dorries, who said she contracted coronavirus last week, said her 84-year-old mother has tested positive

Just a thought...chronically ill patients sometimes have to be visited at home by government officials, for the purpose of certain things having to be set up.
What if the government are still unable to countenance a plan b and are happy for this to continue.
Are they crazy??

What I want to know is, it's says your at higher risk if you have high blood pressure, does that mean untreated blood pressure or even if your taken medication for it, like me?

er, both, but more specifically if it’s treated. Some of the medications used to treat high blood pressure have some adverse impacts on your immune system. But high blood pressure in itself leaves you less well able to fight off diseases.

there are, as I understand it, more serious risk factors - in China the evidence suggested smokers were at much greater risk than on smokers, and diabetes and asthma sufferers are also at higher risk.

the biggest risk factor though is age.

sorry if this sounds crappy, but it’s all crappy ATM.

Because we have decided it is worth sacrificing the vulnerable
It's fucking wrong, I have 2 young kids and suffer from copd so I said to my other half about self isolation and she said to me that if we keep the kids off school we will be fined for unauthorised absence, so basically we going to have to pay the school to keep safe.

We did have herd immunity for measles and small pox prior to vaccination.
Small pox without herd immunity is what wiped out the aztecs and the Europeans accidentally exposed to it. 25-30% death rate.
When we gave the Inuit measles, 99% of them got infected and 2-3% died.
It's not soft-science, herd immunity is a very real thing that's been known to be true for decades. The question we are facing with coronavirus is if we can get enough fit healthy people to develop immunity from getting COVID without complications to protect the old and infirm.
But according to reports herd immunity only works if a reasonable proportion of the herd have been vaccinated. And as we don't have a vaccine, and we aren't sure that antibodies will be developed, then surely herd immunity is a non-starter.

No one is getting reinfected, so we are developing anti-bodies.

To be fair, they are not saying only 700 have it though. That’s how many have tested positive out of the 30k+ tests we’ve done. They have already acknowledged it’s in the tens of thousands that have it.

then they lie about the number of deaths.

Sporting events, concerts and other "mass gatherings" will be cancelled from next week after Boris Johnson performed an about-turn over the Government's handling of the coronavirus.

Police will be able to detain infected people and schools could be forced to stay open under a package of powers being announced next week to tackle the coronavirus outbreak in the UK

Detain infected people ffs

Cheers,
Don't suppose there's any point worrying, if it happens, it happens. At least I'll die know Liverpool never won it :)

Are you saying that the official figure is a lie then?

Yes they have said themselves yesterday that it is likely to be thousands more. The official figure is accepted as wrong. It just represents who have tested. They accept that thousands with it have not been tested.

making kids stay at school is not what other countries are doing, not that i know of,we are going kamakarzi for some reason

Detain infected people ffs

How will they know if they are infected if government policy is to test people showing severe symptoms?
