Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Void the season is the only option

Karma’ bites back after they smashed our coach up and their Club their Police and UEFA did nothing

ha
Actually their Police helped them by getting vantage points on the top of dibble vans.....and then saying they saw nothing.

To be fair, how could the police see anything through the legs of all the dippers stood on their vans?

None of those characteristics reflect the reality of attending Cheltenham though. It’s hard to think of many social settings better suited than that race meeting to spread a virus. I bet an average attendee at Cheltenham connects with over 100 people.
Quite. The goings on pubs in Cheltenham afterwards are designed to spread disease.

Valencia have 5 positive cases:

Thought to be 3 players and 2 staff. Players are thought to be Garay, Gaya and Mangala.

Hope all 5 get well soon.

Below tweet reads: 'Postive in Coronavirus, Garay, Mangala, Gaya, Camarasa and Juan Aliaga. They are all fine and the 3 footballers are asymptomatic. All signs of encouragement.'

Rest of the squad are being retested.

Yesterday I was certain it would be wiped out, today I’m certain it will be finished

Oliver Braincolt thinks it's fair to award liverpool with title and relegate the current bottom three.
I am ok with ending things as they stand, but the title does not go to Liverpool, they just finish first. Same with the Championship the team top finish as first, but do not get "declared" championship winners i.e. they don't get the trophy because they didn,t win a full season.

Whats to stop teams dragging this out by getting players and family members to say they have symptoms so games are constantly postponed, especially if you are in for relegation, dont say they wont stranger things will have gone on.

Just out of interest, if the season is declared null and void and we basically reset to how everything was in August, does that mean Bury could argue that they should be reinstated to League 1? They were officially there at the start of the season.

excellent question, hadn’t thought of that!
