What are you drinking right now?

Just having a few scoops of Jacks Gin from the Tesco stable because I am grafting at daft o clock in the morning.

But today I was drinking Shipyards the superlative brew from Tims place. I have been on it for months now and when I get a pint from the bartender I don't even drink it immediately as it looks drop dead beautiful. It takes what seems an age for the creamy head to settle and ready it for the palate. It glides down well with a slight appreciation of carbonation but not overtly, so as to cause the end user mischief. One of the nicest drafts available from the spoons and if you get a chance give it a whirl. The interweb says it is a great combination of US brewing and the best of British blended American hop varieties/English barley for a refreshing pale ale. I say it's nectar of the gods and I confess to the odd sniffle and glassy eye as I swallow deep.

If you are after a tad more carbonation then why not try the incredible devils backbone coming in 500ml bottles and sure to please the errant caskateer in search of something different. Born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia the advertising speel says, this American ipa is proving to be a hit and crafted from an original recipe by Devils Backbone’s brewmaster Jason Oliver. Never heard of him but this really is in a class of its own and for pennies and you can get it for free with certain meal deals.

I took a short cut yesterday on the way back from the ground to the train station, I think one of the industrial units on the estate travis on giddings road off travis street has been turned into a pub but they had no signs outside, has anyone got any info ?
 
I'm not drinking it right now but last night I was introduced to Benny and hot. How can it be that an Englishman living in Ireland is introduced to a favoured tipple in Burnley, by two Irish men? I don't know the answer but I am happy we met. I was totally bollocksed last night and could only crawl when I got in. I would take a measured guess that our friend @Two Gun Bob is no stranger to this mixture.

Drunk in abundance by the hill people and as you infer a really delightful tipple. If more folk were aware of it's presence then this elixorial delight would have the propensity to take off country wide in a manner not dissimilar to gins recent heady rise to fame. A quaint hostelliary know as the Miners Club nestling in the heartland of the East Lancashire foot-hills goes through thousands of bottles a year and the proof of the pudding is in the drinking.

Well, since I last made this post on 22nd Feb I assume most of Bluemoon's thirstiest are now drinking under their own roof much like I am, in the comfort and safety of home.

The reason I quoted my last post is because I went down to the local supermarket a few days ago (observing social distancing at the same time), and paid well over the fucking odds for a bottle of Benedictine liqueur. I had a few on Wednesday to check the bottle was in date and intend to have a few more bene n' hots this eve.

I never drink at home but I am in self isolation so I'm having a very large tumbler of Canarian honey rum & ice not strong but bloody lovely.
 
I have been for a 10 mile walk this evening, could not believe how chocca the pubs were. But wished I was in every one of them.

Just finished a bottle of jumilla red, seriously thinking of opening another,
