I was going to write a reasoned response but the question itself is so absurd and peppered with half truths that there isn't any point. What's the difference between Biden and Trump? Fucking everything. Wake up.So, let me ask you a civil question or two that the majority seem to be frothed mouths animals about!
Why is acceptable to vote in an apparent 'centrist' (he's not, he's right wing lite) who's happy to be proud of his association with a racist like Strom Thurman (a bloke that #45 would have been pillared for), make up shit about his position (take social security and the Iraq War, another thing #45 has been pillared for) and also lies about the shit that happened to him (South Africa visit and civil right marches).
At this point, #45 has moved to the left of the right winged Dems, handing out 'socialism' like Easter eggs (I remember a poster on here screaming that Americans would never accept socialism (I won't name names to spare blushes, my 3 lettered friend!)!)
So, if Biden is seen as a 'lovable' foot-in-mouth disease kind of guy, what's the difference between him and the pres apart from rhetoric and language?
Both are liars, both have emitted racial undertones whether as a joke or not, both have rejected and embraced 'socialism', both are far from whom they claim they are and both are slightly different sides to the same coin. It's like everyone has forgotten how he used to be known as "Creepy Joe" in the MSM!
Anyway, I think it's going to interesting whom Biden picks as his VP as I believe he's led the drop outs to think they have a shot at that position.

If you really need one concrete example, then I offer you the Supreme Court. Look it up.
I mean, I can’t read his twattish idiocy but I am sure the next will be entitled “Biden and Hitler: The Obvious Parallels”.I was going to write a reasoned response but the question itself is so absurd and peppered with half truths that there isn't any point. Aww, since you've responded, tell me about the part where "Americans don't want a handout"...
Lol, I was out for a walk if that's ok with you. Also just to clarify am I the "Wall Street snowflake" or is that the guy in California?Oh and it's been an hour.
Sure, he'll have the excuse that he has other shit to do.
Tick, tick, tick, tick...
I legitimately don't even know what your point is with this argument? We're in an unprecedented economic crisis where the treasury secretary says unemployment could hit 20%, basically overnight. Of course people are going to want/need economic stimulus. I don't think this has any bearing on how receptive people are or are not to Bernie's free everything platform.Aww, since you've responded, tell me about the part where "Americans don't want a handout"...

This type of sudden and severe economic contraction is actually quite unprecedented. For context, at the absolute height of the recession in September 2008 the highest number of first time unemployment claims over a one week period was 493,000. Today Goldman economists released a report predicting that 2.25 million claims were filed this week. The only parallel I can think of is really 9/11, and even with that the economy wasn't in great shape prior.Nah, the snowflake ain't you. At least you have the balls to have bite back if you don't agree.
Prefer it if you weren't stupidly abusive, like some of the clowns on here.
You were in a financial crisis when FDR took his decision in the Great Depression, so no it's not 'unprecedented'.
The problem is with your point on socialism, you'll see that nobody is asking 'how do you pay for it?' as this pandemic kicks in. That means they're printing money to distribute amongst the needy. Can't do it any other way.
55% of people approve of the way #45 is handling the pandemic, up 12% from last week.
So, yes, socialism isn't such bad thing when you're in a bind.

I honestly still don't understand the purpose of this specific discussion though. This situation is so far out of the ordinary that I would really hesitate to draw any broad conclusions based on it about Bernie and socialism and all that (for starters because his policies aren't even really socialist, he just stubbornly uses the unpopular and unhelpful label for no reason). Right now we're in an urgent crisis, and in a crisis no one cares about the bills.
Not sure if already posted as it is a few days old.

Nah! I have more to discuss with you on this issue. I appreciate that You and Bigga are at odds and you won't engage each other. But you can still participate in this with others. It occurs to me this thread is going to devolve into an "I'm bitter because my guy lost; let's disparage the guy who won" circle jerk from this point forward since the nomination is done and dusted. As they (he) furiously wank(s) themselves (himself) into political oblivion where they (he) belong(s), I think I'll take my leave and return to my seat to watch the final drama play out . . . in self-isolation, of course.

I find the Foggy on this thread more tolerable than the one on the Trump thread. At least her you engage the issue. On the other side, you ( and many others) take that morally superiority stand of being beyond questioning. It's quite amusing :)
But here, at least one gets to see some of your actual views and reasoning. So don't leave. For example, I'm not so sure your view that what's most important to Democrats is the removal of #45.
I'm beginning to believe there is a subset of society for whom this is true: The Upper Middle Class College Educated Type. You fit that profile to a Tee. Frankly, most of us here do. So it's no surprise that such a claim never even gets a challenge here.
Anyway, I'm beginning to believe outside of that 20% and excluding the portion of them who are conservative and not never Trumpers, the rest of the country really isn't playing by those rules.
Anyway, either way, stay and make your points. It's a more enjoyable thread with differing opinions.
I almost dropped dead when I read this. The irony. It's too much to bear. Practically overwhelmed the system! This Biden guy has promised shit loads to pander to everyone that can't possibly be enacted to get through the senate.
This rather reminds me of the "Get Brexit Done" message before shit hit the fan and by then it was too late.
