Yeah I have of course. I'm fine. I just want it to happen so my dad doesnt have to go work. His employer is basically saying its SSP. He cant afford that.
 
This should probably serve as a warning to many of us who complacently think this only affects the old;
 
USA almost 7 000 new cases in last 24 hours. Even more than Italy. They are third just below China and Italy already. There is going to be a chaos over there :(

Aren’t something like 29% of all hospitalisations in the US aged 20-40? This is striking everybody down, it doesn’t discriminate.

I hope you didn't think I was being smug.
I posted in answer to a post about extended families living together in one house and I thought I would give my perspective.
I don't feel as though anything I have done to protect myself and my family comes with any guarantees.
Everyone should do what they can and the rest is in the lap of the gods.
I believe Is am doing as much as I can possibly do to safeguard my family, but I live in dread of someone in my family somehow being infected regardless.
I think I'm probably more afraid than the halfwits running around the pubs holding parties with their mates.
 
Just had an email from my local Freegle group asking for volunteers to help people in serious need of help during and after the upcoming crisis, at present I am self isolated but have registered my interest for when I get the nod to come out of self isolation. This for me is positive news and signs that the greater society might just pull together to do what they can.

I had an email Sainsbury’s sent out where the CEO promised priority delivery slots for the old and disabled a week ago.
He clearly makes it up on the hoof cos he just sent another one saying they are updating the registration from Monday so you can let them know you are disabled which so far you can’t do.

300,000 also is the number they are exporting, it doesn't say this in the article, but what are the chances the Korean government is letting them export 100%? I would imagine they'd want a good amount staying domestic.

positive development but need to be careful how this is applied in terms of false positives/negatives - hiv kits took years of fine tuning from the CDC in terms of reliability of results in certain time frame windows and that is for a virus which is much harder to transmit. they are going to have to go on a wing and prayer here as time is not our friend here but we need this data on who has antibodies.

still not read or seen anything on what having these antibodies means in terms of protection and safety to others for reintegration into the work force.

Tip of the iceberg and inevitable with the messaging that was coming out, I fear for the redneck states especially, great to see California taking proactive positive measures - I suspect they will be the ones to lead the Americans on this and show them the way out whilst the fuck wit continues to play politics with peoples lives.

It's similar in a lot of countries, basically all those east of Germany in Europe. I'm hoping it's because there is a delay in declaring people OK. It may be that you have to be symptom free for 7 or 14 days before they put you in the "recovered" bracket, but no delay for the alternative.

All those end of days bunker builders over there will be in lockdown now pissing themselves. All those people with guns what could possibly go wrong, especially with Man baby in charge.
