Someone said the other day there are something like 50,000 towns in the uk with 120k coppers and 30k in the army. So even at absolute capacity it would basically be 1 copper per town at any one time.

No doubt and that’s out of order. The industry I’m in renders working from home almost impossible. We’re in engineering for the oil and gas industry. We’re only a small company with eleven employees - 8 on the shop floor, 2 in the office, and 1 split between shop floor and office. 1 of the 2 of us in the office could do some work from home but not everything and we always need a presence at work to be on hand for all kinds of tasks and queries.
