I think he's pretty clear today, but yes, I think you're right - they've got a bunch of these first tests, but need to see if they work.

There aren't many such tests for any antibodies that are better than 99.5%. 98% would be brilliant. Its the false positives that are the big issue for antibody tests.

False negatives may be worse, turning asymptomatic carriers into super-spreaders.

FT journo basically just asked this right now. They said this is unlikely to happen. They said they'll use it strategically to give it to certain people to collect and verify the data they need to see how far this has spread and how many people are asymptomatic. Said its very unlikely to just appear online to buy any time soon.

How will the public get the tests and how do you get the results back?

Public won't be buying them on the internet soon,has to be done in order to get people cleared to go back to work,it is the antibody test that is key
