This one is a Grim start.

Reports ( coming from a Doctor ) that in Madrid they are removing respirators from the over 65 and having to give them to younger people who have a longer life to live, leaving the over 65's sedated until they die.

EU CDC think this is not seasonal and summer will not help stop it.

Would recommend this. It debunks all the false information around the modelling numbers, including the '2/3rds would have died anyway' stuff. Free to sign up and read, and defo worth it.

Who’s behind this? I mean it was Prof Neil Ferguson who said the other day that 1/2 to 2/3 might have passed anyway. Is this article claiming that to be untrue?

Sorry don’t have chance to sign up and read currently.

yep so the PM , chief medical officer and health secretary telling us to wash our hands stay home and keep 2 metres apart from others now seemingly have it . They should have listened to the advice !!!!
Boris doesn't seem to be the type to stand still and wash his hands 10 times a day,i can't do it on this ipad but their was a pic of him at the briefing yesterday and i thought at the time he looks ill

Working from home and done nothing this afternoon. I cant concentrate at all, taking me ages to even write an email, I presume its just the results of a long week and I'm really fortunate that no one I know has been directly affected yet and I'm not taking that for granted, but I feel physically and mentally shattered . Anyone else feeling like this?

No idea how the heroic NHS staff and all the other people on the front line keeping things going are doing this. They are superhuman.

The "underlying conditions" line is not particularly reassuring I think.

I mean seriously, who does *not* have something or other wrong with them at some point. Half the population are overweight or either Type 2 diabetic or on the road to it. How many people have high blood pressure? Or drink too much and maybe their liver isn't in tip-top condition? Not to mention the countless numbers with immune system issues for whatever reason.

As an overweight, high blood pressure, near diabetic old person who drinks far too much, I am strangely un-reassured.

I would be surprised if more than 2% of the country got past 65 without an underlying condition of some sort.

I'm on 12 weeks isolation got my letter and text at the beginning of the week, I'm lucky I have a garden and have been able to get out and do a bit, but for people living in flats or shelterd accommodation it's going to be difficult but worth it in the long run
Got the text mate but no letter and judging by people in my age group who I know that figure of 1.5 million seems miles away from if you take into account of what was listed as high risk but that's only my take on it.
