The problem is that you are starting from the point of "That must have been a terrible thing" and not starting from a neutral point.
Instead you should be looking at the evidence it was a disaster and there is none. And there simply would be by now.
The scientists and modellers don't give a shit about anything except tracking the growth of a pandemic, and Ferguson has been referred to throughout this by several of his peers across the globe as the very best in the world, so if they say sporting events at that point weren't a problem then they weren't a problem.
No mate, he’s coming at it with complete common sense. After everything we’ve seen, heard and learnt these past couple of weeks it is mental that you can still believe this.
If you’re right why not just continue with all sport events and wait for it to blow over?
70,000 people cramming onto public transport, standing on the concourse, drinking and eating in pubs and restaurants, using toilets etc. For 5 days!
Btw the last day of Cheltenham was 13 days ago. 12 if you think the UK is 24hrs behind with its stats. There’s plenty of time for the complete picture.
We know Charlie Adam got it from being at Cheltenham. How many people in their 30’s and 40’s went to Cheltenham, picked it up then went to work the next few days or had lunch at their parents at the weekend? How many went on a night out afterwards or ate in a restaurant?
It was ludicrous that it went ahead.
