That’s the important bit. Means those sadly passing away have had the best care and didn’t stand a chance.
Yes the harder decisions as per the BMA statement is to come as we get more stretched with critical care beds and ventilators and of course staff, there are some heart wrenching accounts from frontline staff already and how hard it is and they feel overwelmed,so many are dying

Hat pisses me off is the govt and advisors make an updated reasonably detailed press conference about where we are and what the plans are and then each journalist asks two questions about subjects the press conference has already covered.
It’s like they have written their wanky question in the morning totally not listened to the actual press conference and then asked their wanky question, which isn’t a question at all just a wanky statement.

every answer then starts with, “as we have said “.....

Italy up another 760 deaths this evening,it is relentless for them, can't see how we are not going to be the same

Worldwide deaths over 50,000 now says john hopkins university

I think it's a bit high actually. Because unfortunately I don't think this going to be the only outbreak... we've got another winter to get through assuming in all likelihood there is no vaccine by then.
Yeah I know but hopefully we'll have learned from this initial outbreak and have a proper plan later in the year rather than as it seems sometimes making it up as we go along or at the very least being proactive next time rather than reactive.

Apologies if this has been posted previously, however I was sent this video by my bro in law who lives and works in the U.S., he works for a large corporation who will be doing a lot of the building of the various new temporary hospitals and medical facilities. Anyway, it’s a video that their “COVID team” have been using as a backdrop to all their various discussions, it’s done by a top doctor at a hospital in NY, he cuts out the bullshit and pretty much explains the situation from the front line. It’s a long watch at nearly an hour so can be dipped in and out of but it certainly cut through some of the scaremongering for me.

edit...the link is safe, it just takes you to Vimeo.

Luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover to make visors

Jaguar Land Rover has announced it will turn over its prototype build operations to make protective visors - approved by the NHS - for frontline healthcare workers

Hancock: Premier League footballers should take a pay cut to help the NHS

The health secretary said: "Make a contribution, take a pay cut, play your part.

Why does everyone to expect footballers to solve society problems, why isn't anyone asking actors who get millions for films to contribute,or the company directors/bankers who are mega rich not to mention all the millionares in government

This next 2 weeks are the ones when you can really do without catching this fucking horrible disease.

I said last week we’d be doing well if we got less than 20k deaths in this country, now I think it’ll be a fucking miracle if we manage that.

Unfortunately it shows the lack of both intellect and a yearning for an investigative approach to questioning the people in charge.
Instead we have watered down our media with good looking (yuk) click bait reporters
