Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I think Klopp and LFC want the Athletico result overturned, their seems to be a lot of press now going into over drive on that.
So dont be surprised for a re start to the prem and possible replaying of that match?

My daughter is a clinical scientist in NHS, two of her friends are going to be working at the Nightingale hospital. They are NHS scientists also. One was drafted in, one volunteered. They get 1 days training, and told to expect a death rate of 80%. Best of luck to everyone, I'm hoping my daughter can stay off the frontline. I'm even further away from giving a fuck about finishing this season

All the best pal. My wifes friend is a heart nurse, a few weeks before this she asked to reduce her hours to 2 days a week ready for retirement. Yesterday she sent my missus a photo of her being trained for frontline Covid shit. She looks like an Apollo 11 crew member, huge plastic face mask and underneath a paper type mouth/nose mask plus a full body suit. She will not be retiring any time soon...….
But also she was a specialist heart nurse....if she isn't there to treat them …… and yet they want to play football in a few weeks.

So UEFA have their shitty hands all over this

UEFA has urged members not to abandon their competitions and stopping leagues without approval from UEFA could see teams blocked from qualifying for the Champions League and Europa League

How can they put the Euro's back a year and expect the rest to finish?
This is the same governing body is it not,or am I wrong?

I was under the impression, that prior to UEFA announcing the moving of Euros to 2021, this was only permitted by UEFA on the understanding that leagues would use the extended time period, this provided, to complete their leagues first. The CL and Europa League to be finalised after home leagues being completed. Obviously in this fast moving situation it seems more likely that leagues will not be completed, regardless of any extension that was provided by postponing Euro 2020 to 2021. Its likely UEFA still want to intimidate home leagues to press for an earlier resumption to complete, thereby using this qualifying proviso as the forfeiture if not completed.? Not implying its right, just a comment that it maybe their position thats all.

Uefa are bullies, they’re like the mafia , now would be a good time to break the chains & tell them to fuck off
