No i'm not. i'm asking you to explain how testing lowers the % of infected people who die. The reason I ask is because it doesn't. It may well limit the spread and therefore prevent an overload of medical facilities but it doesn't reduce the % of infected people who die.

Testing doesn't affect the virus in any way, it doesn't make it less lethal.

if it did, the rate of increase in deaths would be lower in Germany than everywhere else. It so far is exactly the same.

Germany is on the same vector as everyone else just some days behind.
You’re still not following.

Read my initial post to you again.

Your graphs are useless without adding in the confirmed cases btw.

You clearly don't understand what the graph shows. Confirmed cases is a nonsense value. It's simply a reflection of number of tests and test criteria. It bares little or no relation to number of infections. The one thing which does reflect the true number of infections is the number of fatalities. That is exactly what the graphs show.
Your two graphs show deaths. Not confirmed infections. You. Are. Still. Not. Understanding. The. Point.

The reason Germany’s CFR is so low is because they are testing every fucking body. Therefore they are test asymptomatic and mild cases. The U.K. is only testing severe cases. That is why Germany’s CFR is much lower than the UK’s. If the U.K. were testing as many people are Germany, then the CFR’s of the two may be identical.

The strange thing is that you are arguing against a point you have been making for two weeks. Have you banged your head?

Nice swerve squirty,he called me out for saying they would not be tested, they have not been tested, whether they are going to included in the new system which we didnt know about at the time, remains to be seen

I deleted my post because he had already read the misinformation that you had posted, therefore mine was unnecessary.
You are a hive of misinformation, ill informed opinion and down right bad advice that can harm others.

If only you engaged brain once in awhile before tapping away on your keyboard you wouldn’t be constantly abused (sic).
PS calling out someone’s post as wrong isn’t abuse.

I’m off to watch TV now so witter to your heads content, keeping the copyrighted stuff out of the thread please.

I suppose it will become necessary to choose which patients to treat if things get worse but I wonder if they will include all ages that have underlying problems?

This always has been the case. 15 years ago my mum had treatment withdrawn and was allowed to die when it became clear she couldn't be saved. And those medical professionals didn't have a ward full of others and a queue outside the door waiting to be let in all in the same boat. My guess would be those decisions have been made time and time again

What about my advise is wrong? I have had it and i have shared what has happened to me,that is my case obviously,my advice has always been if you are struggling call 111

The ONLY one i have had abuse from is your friend and of course your constant picking

If you have any problem with any of my posts then quote it at the time with what you think is not right

I haven't mentioned CFR. I'm demonstrating IFR.
CFR is as I have said, a mostly useless number.
The original article (which you obviously still haven’t read) was about Germany’s lower CFR. Their reasoning behind it being that they are testing more. That’s literally all it is.

You didn’t bother reading the article so grasped the wrong end of the stick and have been off down the wrong track since then, despite me repeating the point.

Which part of this from the article are you struggling with:

“The reason why we in Germany have so few deaths at the moment compared to the number of infected can be largely explained by the fact that we are doing an extremely large number of lab diagnoses,”

It was always about CFR.

Cabinet member Michael Gove referred to sharply rising rates occurring in Yorkshire and in the Midlands, with rates falling slightly in London, during the government's daily briefing from Downing Street.

Meanwhile, the number testing positive for COVID-19 in the UK as a whole has risen to 41,903, as of 9am on Saturday, after 183,190 have been tested.

The number of people in Scotland who have died is 218, up 46 from 172 on Friday, the Scottish Government said.

Public Health Wales said 13 further deaths have been reported of people who had tested positive, taking the number of deaths in Wales to 154.

Northern Ireland's Public Health Agency reported another eight deaths, bringing the country's total to 56, with a total of 998 testing positive

On the other end of nature

A couple in India have named their twins born amid the global coronavirus pandemic Corona and Covid.

The siblings - a girl and a boy - were born to Preeti and Vinay Verma in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh on 27 March during the ongoing nationwide lockdown, according to NDTV.

"The delivery happened after facing several difficulties and therefore, my husband and I wanted to make the day memorable," the twins' 27-year-old mother told news agency Press Trust of India.

I wonder what age you can change your name in india !
I wish I had a tv.

I don't trust his weather forecasting for shit but on this subject, Marvin is my go to guy!
Me too S. incidentally many thanks for continuing the "news" on things City, despite your home isolation.

My daughter who lives in Yorkshire actually stayed at home for her CV treatment because hospital were happy that way because she had all symptoms except breathing difficulty. They rang every 2 hours to make sure (she has a very low immune system) but she has now recovered and is back to her usual health.

Are people aware that the USA FDA approved an antibody test yesterday?

Thought it might get mentioned by the media today. I don't think it was. It might be different to the antibody tests that the UK are looking at.
