Last Film You Saw

A Quiet Place

Starts off very slow but it’s probably one of the better thriller/horror films I’ve seen in recent years - which may not be saying a whole lot.

I've just watched this film also. I haven't seen this since the 80's and it stood the test of time. Cracking film, having said that, I do like Eddie Murphy films.
 
Rocket Man - it was good and I think the fella who played Elton John was good in the film but in my opinion, not as good a film as Bohemian Rhapsody. Therefore, only 7/10 for me.

It was a very good film but harrowing and it frightened the life out of me.

It is easily one of my favs. When he is stood in the santa outfit and it starts raining and even the gun misfires before working when he chucks it, just brilliant.

Then he throws the gun away, and you hear it firing in the background (as it presumably hits the ground), and you hear a window shattering. For some weird reason, I find that background noise hilarious.

Possibly it was just me, but in Bohemian Rhapsody, Freddie comes across as an extremely likeable guy (and he was according to the many stories I've read or heard from people knew/met him), whereas Elton John in Rocket Man, didn't ?
 
Monos

South American gun-toting-socio-thriller-dramas/horror-type things like this are kind of giving me the same impression I was getting from South Korean cinema back in the days of Thirst, I Saw The Devil, etc. They definitely know what they are doing. Wild Tales, Kiss Of The Serpent, and Birds Of Passage, all good stuff.

I'm a simple man. I like Sci-fi, I like the flashing lights, the tight-fitting space suits, the crazy sets, and the laser guns. This looked like it was shot in a particularly dull shopping centre, and lacked laser guns, so I binned it off.
 
Bohimian Rhapsody. 7/10. Cliched story seen before in films like The Doors, but still good.

Joker. 6/10. Great performance, but when i watch a film, I want a good story. King of Comedy was much better.
 
Vivarium, some weird shit, I'll give it a 5 as I don't know whether it was amazing in some way that I missed, or just shite, I just don't know, not a good judge of this type of stuff.
