The difficulty in comparison is what’s actually happening on the ground.
Sweden’s largest city has 1 million inhabitants.
where you are that would be considered a town

Most of the population live in the countryside with lots of inbuilt social distancing.
They’re are not avid drinkers in bars etc, its too fucking expensive.
It’s probably been dark for most of the time, just now having longer days.

Taking a look at the issues in the states where NY recorded more deaths that the UK, you have large overcrowded metropolitan areas perfect for the virus to spread.
From your posts I guess you live in a fairly remote place? If so its much easier to avoid the current spread, just as it is where I live. Went out for a 12km walk this morning and passed no one until i was on the last km home, which was by road.

I know !, but if we lockdown until say June , July , they will be worth even less and may not recover for years and years

Well there cases are shooting up and they’re building field hospitals and restricting day by day, I’d put them in the fucking idiot camp for now - either way, id prefer a collapsed economy to risking millions of lives.

Yep, a guy I work with has already had to delay his retirement because of this.

I'm not surprised. I am sure I will have to. I've given up looking at how much money down I am - it's just too depressing for words. I just console myself that for now, my family are all still alive and healthy. If we get through this in that state, that will be the biggest relief.

Well even if todays death numbers are short by 100 I think they are great news.
The fall in new confirmed cases by 2101 from 5903 to 3802 is especially good.

What we are seeing is exactly what we are familiar with from football "journalism", no real desire to inform or elicit information, it's petty point scoring and agenda-driven showboating. The industry isn't coming out of this well at all.
