Staff visitor. I' not going against any advice. I am suggesting we support the locl community in the same way that the University of Padua have.

See https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ss-tests-in-italian-town-have-halted-covid-19.

If it's not wanted or required then so be it but it struck me on reading it that it they can do that, why can't Manchester students and staff do the same?

Probably because 3,300 is slightly lower than 2.5m in Greater Manchester?. How do we know that these tests were correct?

I agree that testing would allow this to be curbed quickly but how can you test 69m people?

Is it worth the government making a comment about Mother’s Day? We love our mum’s of course, but is it “essential travel”? You’d have to say no. But I reckon most of the country will still visit their mums at the weekend. Should they specifically advise that people don’t? I ask because I am yet to have this conversation with my mum.

A fresh dilemma.

My two cats have reached the point of having the snip.

They’re bro and sis but instinct takes over, especially when there’s just two of them and he’ll try it soon.

The snip is booked next week but quite rightly the vets have been sending their oxygen to hospitals.

They only have a small amount left and can’t do it without.

There’s a chance it may be cancelled they said and then in a few months I’ll have cats with three eyes, two paws on each leg and four tails... basically the feline version of Merseyside.

There’s only one man I can call them....
