Keep focusing on the name Sanders.

He's just the leader at the moment.

His campaign has highlighted the weakness of capitalism and what a house of cards it is. Progressive politics happened before Bernie Sanders and will happen after Bernie Sanders.

I daresay, when someone else fronts the Progressive march, next time, they won't be soft on another Dem opponent.

Biden is a frighteningly terrible candidate and Sanders shouldn't have been afraid to take him apart.

Business, never personal.

We'll see. I think Biden is a better candidate than Hillary ever was though. He's held the line with Hillary's college-educated coalition while expanding it among African Americans and, crucially, does far better than she ever did with white working class and swing voters, which are exactly the people that cost her the election in places like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan. He's also leading Trump by six points in Florida. Oh and also the economy is in the tank and his numbers for how he's handling the coronavirus are dropping by the day. By any measure Trump is a weak incumbent. Biden may or may not beat him, but anyone who's certain he will lose is an idiot or wishcasting.

So he’d be better off 11 points behind?
You may well know more about Biden than me, but I do know which of the Dem candidates Trumps team were more bothered about, and it wasn’t Sanders.

It's pretty much 50/50 where the result will lie for the pres race.

Whilst your pres is a liar, he's also fairly au fait with the White working class. That class and the swing voters are waiting for the other side of the coronavirus to see what becomes of jobs and the economy.

If Biden doesn't have a clear response, a clear strategy and way forward, the voters will most likely think they may as well stick with the Devil they know.

It's not the pandemic that will crush #45, it's how he picks up the pieces afterwards.

Why do you think he's exploring Sanders' Progressive idea of M4A during the pandemic?

You keep calling for the thread to be locked. Biden is ONLY the presumptive nominee, not the winner.

Sanders has suspended his campaign but is remaining in the race. So, tell me you understand the mathematical permutations of that decision. There's a reason why that path is chosen, but I think you'll understand it.

As I said, earlier, Biden is at the same level as Clinton, points-wise 4 years ago.

It's not huge, even if you convince yourself it is.

He's staying in to accumulate delegates and try to leverage them to influence the party platform at the convention. The same unhelpful, pointless thing he did last time. I just wanted to double check with you.

So, during a period when 6.6M US citizens registered unemployed, you think it's "useless" for progressives to seek out better protection for these people when things pick up??
