Well theres a shit tonne of people out on my cul de sac, all going round to peoples houses for gatherings, and I'm not against saying they are all eastern Europeans.

Seems like people have had enough of lockdown for now
There is a bbq ongoing at the end of my street and I have picked out at least 6 different voices there. Twats.

Why are we letting people fly in without testing and quantene (sp) ?(as i have been asking) answer we follow the science, the US and italy did it and it hasn't made a difference (hmmm we didnt know that at the time)

I think his point was that they followed scientific advice that banning travel wouldn't have stopped/slowed the virus and that this has been borne out by subsequent events in Italy and the USA where they did have a travel ban. Rather than the decision being based on events in Italy and the USA..

Not as a daily figure and as a comparison with other countries they don’t.

They're flawed figures, no doubt about it. But there's a difference between flawed and useless.

The death figures are the most useful metric in terms of telling you how many deaths have occurred up to that point in any given country. I'm sure we'll be understating our figures as will other countries but it's the best metric we've got to compare how bad we've been hit in comparison to other countries.

The fact that the WHO are using them and the UK Government are too suggests that they serve a useful purpose and looking at what they show, at this moment in time we look to have suffered worse than any other country in the world (in total, not per capita) bar Spain and the US (possibly Italy - depending on starting point) in the same stages of their outbreaks.

I wonder how many got through the net ?
As some have said and if you read the comments on the link you will see comments about atherstan road, the road is a ghetto and full of non English and do as they please. Many reports from local people saying that social distancing isnt been carried out there. We wont even do food delivery there as it's to dangerous

They've probably not given a flying fuck from the off.

Not sure but I know you have to make an appointment and show your Id

Yeah it's the employee car park terminal 3 from memory it's really clear when u get near by .

I had mine done on Wed at 1400hrs still waiting for results so it's not a quick turn around.

We were 7th in que and were there nearly 2 hours the actual test takes about 1 minute so Not sure why it took so long, am sure it will speed up with time .

Felt very safe though

You never know how many people live in some gaffs. I know of a family in Wythenshawe near my mate and there are 13 of them in one house.

But if you know how many usually live there, grass em up!

They aren’t the figures the government will use to determine the effectiveness of the current measures, the hospital and critical care ones are. Looks to have suffered worse in comparison to other countries is comparing apples and oranges there can be many reasons why.
Probably the death figures they do use if any will be those that have been properly analysed and assigned as in the graph @Gelsons Dad was posting, not the daily published ones thst make the headlines.
