TV Series

Watched the first two episodes of Unorthodox on Netflix. It’s about a young woman in an Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn. She escapes her arranged marriage and heads to Berlin.

It’s very good. I’d recommend it.
Yes I watched that. Fascinating insight into the ultra orthodox Jewish community. I thought it was good and really well done.

Preacher on Amazon is great.
Comedians in cars getting coffee on Netflix I really enjoy.
Dawn French live on Netflix is shite.
Love comedians in cars...in fact I'll probably watch some more (there's a fair few). Jerry's take on life is usually uplifting.
I find him generous in his appraisal of other comedians too...genuinely looks like he's constantly finding other's humour funny.

Not at all, my kind of girl

I meant it in a 'good way' - number 2 below!:

get under someone's skin

1.
annoy or irritate someone intensely.
"it was the sheer effrontery of them which got under my skin"

Similar:
irritate
get on someone's tits

  • 2.
fill someone's mind in a compelling and persistent way.
"he had managed to get under my skin—I couldn't wait to be with him"

get on someone's tits (if lucky)

on the list.
I love stylised dramas if done really well.
Mad Men is still up there for me.
Season 2 of Ozark to conclude but will start this very shortly, maybe alongside.

Maisel is far superior to Mad Men in my humble opinion. It is effortless, without the need for any gimmicks.

Season 3 of Ozark is on a different level to the one you are currently watching, such a shame it will be at least two years now before we all get to see again some of our favourites series return :(

Thought Mad Men was utterly perfect so that some praise mate. The first show I felt the 4th wall broke down and I was there in meetings with draper et al.

Heard that about Ozark s2...dipped a little. My only negative is the lawyer who seems a little implausible but other than that my covid it is top notch: lighting, cinematography (has a lush South Korean cinematic vibe to it), setting, acting...but most of all it’s a real ‘page turner’.

On my dodgy box but it's on the android apps like Cinema HD and TeaTv

Is this any good, not heard much about it but love Gommorah, not got around to watching it

'Locke and Key'
Good if you have the mental capacity of a 12 year old, I loved it.

Yeah, kidified from the source material. The comic books that this was adapted from were so much better with far greater depth and a lot creepier than the show. Not that surprising considering who wrote them.

Joe Hill is the son of Stephen King if you didn't know.

Tbh I quite enjoyed it, not too scary either ;-)
