Brazil's health minister has been fired by the country's right-wing president Jair Bolsonaro for his response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Luiz Henrique Mandetta tweeted that Mr Bolsonaro had handed him his notice.

President Bolsonaro had publicly criticised Mr Mandetta for urging people to observe social distancing and stay indoors.

The Brazilian leader disagreed with these measures, instead downplaying the virus as "a little flu".
 
São Paulo are in lockdown/quarantine. I know that as I’ve been working with a couple of people over there

I’m not sure about the rest of the country but people who still bang on ‘flu’ shouldn’t be listened to. I imagine a lot of people in Brazil have a TV so will have access to what is going on globally, they will make their own mind up that their President is a fucking idiot
 
Strange thread title.

Both Bolsanaro and Trump are soft in the head.

Neither have the mental toughness and resolve to deal properly with the pandemic, preferring to play populist games for short term approval but without the foresight to see that their actions will lead to disaster.

Both are utter morons.

Good question!

Xi - Bullshitter but no change their though so at least you know what you are getting so he deserves credit for consistency
Trump - Delusional, narcissistic bullshitter who was actually voted into power which still remains one of mankinds' greatest mysteries
Putin - Serial bullshitter busy trying to recreate the cold war as he knows they have nothing in the economic tank
Johnson - Converted to bullshittism in the last few years, but there is hope that he may stop bullshitting after recent events and hopefully reaches the potential that he has/had
Bolsonaro - Rivers of blood will be on his hands and hopefully will be tried at the Hague in years to come

I only see Merkel out there as a prominent world leader who stands out as someone that can claim justification for the highest office.

No fan of Boris but he doesn’t belong on that list with the others. Each of them can have a huge negative impact on the whole planet. Bolsonaro possibly worst of all with his attempts to burn down the rainforest and hence accelerate climate change and destroy the planet. The others can only start a nuclear war!

I’m in a strange place that I actually rated a few of his ideas and views once upon a time - I just don’t believe we have for one second actually seen what he could and should of been capable of doing as his relationship with the Cummings/Brexit campaign and last year was just embarrassing on the bullshitometer (all sides played games).

that list is for bullshitters in power, in my opinion he stands out head and shoulders above the others on other qualities.

How John McCain survived his treatment by the N Vietnamese at the time is beyond me. Trump isn’t worthy to have laced that man shoes.
