There is absolutely no way this lockdown can be extended, in it's present form, beyond mid May. It's costing over 2 billion per day.
11% of how many in the study ?The Health Ministry have withdrawn their study after they found an error. They will release a revised result tomorrow.
A separate (3rd) study of blood donors from 10 day ago showed that 11% had antibodies.
I wish some research would be done in who is catching the virus currently. Is it those on public transport, is it supermarket workers, builders etc or is it people who are acting like twats and gathering in large numbers. Majority of people are being relatively sensible, is it those people who catching it? After nearly 5 weeks you would have hoped that the rate of infection would be reducing quicker than it is but even in countries with far stricter lockdowns this doesn't seem to be the case which is quite worrying. My major concern is that new cases have clearly plateaued with Rt (R0 at a later point in time) being nearly at one.
Infection is still occurring at a level that will take ages to bring the virus under control to a level that will allow the economy to be opened up.
Infections on public transport, queuing for shopping, shopping, high density housing and people getting closer than 2m, and knobheads are clearly keeping the figure too high.
Cloth face coverings must be made mandatory when outside NOW!
Hmmmmm.....
Not many, a couple of hundred I think.11% of how many in the study ?

Have to laugh, I suppose you'd also want to rule out that they caught it from (a) healthcare worker(s) at the blood bank(s).Not many, a couple of hundred I think.
I'm sure it is. The issue is how long will it take to produce something that can help us in the near future.I wish some research would be done in who is catching the virus currently. I'm tuning in for the first time in weeks to find out what on earth Nick Carter has to say about things.Fresh from his performance at Prime Minister's Questions filling in for Boris Johnson while he recovers from coronavirus, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will be taking the lead for the government.
He'll be joined by England's chief medical officer Prof Chris Whitty and Sir Nick Carter, chief of defence staff
Thanks, bit worrying about the antibody testing, not as good as expectedNot many, a couple of hundred I think.

Well just back from work. Had a break from doing the food banks runs so we went grass cutting. Ramsgate seafront was busy lots of cars turning up with 3 generations in the car, little kids with bikes in the back of the car or prams to put the baby in. Or push chairs for the elderly member of the family. We were hard push to find somewhere to park our works van. It didnt look like a lock down to me. Lots walking in big groups, or stopped and chatting without the 2 meter rule. Lots of kids playing with each other and a football match going on. This wasnt lockdown here in ramsgate today , very depressing to see.
I’ve seen a few groups of people together blatantly just taking the piss today, it seems like during the week more think they can get away with flouting the rules as it’s busier out and about.Well just back from work. I understand the need for social distancing etc but the loss to the economy is horrific and has to be addressed soon. The news reports some other shops and cafe's are slowly opening.
