- We went to Rotherham…
Grow up!
I understand,i have been called negative a few times but i have tried to explain that finding a vaccine, getting through three trial phases then if it is safe it then moves on to the manufactoring and distribution will take a long Time
We have no reliable antibody test yet
We are only now contact tracing
We are going have to live with this for a long time
I think it is good that it has been laid on the line today it is brutal but it was time they trusted us with the truth
Look at it like this,so long as everyone sticks to the rules we will get through it eventually,we are all playing a part in this ,the nhs have not been over run,t hat is the most important thing,we can only control what we do as individuals,so just try and concentrate on that,we have the best minds from all over the world working on this,we will be ok
I don't think the last two days confirm that stance. Whitty thinks it's levelled off.OK listen as hard as you can.
The number you saw today is NOT the number who died today.
The day when most people died was the 8th of April. Since then there has been a slow but clear fall.
There is absolutely no way this lockdown can be extended, in it's present form, beyond mid May. It's costing over 2 billion per day.
Fucking hell !My new favourite academic study comes from Israel.
That's a hell of a gutsy call for any government to make. Playing with fire!!!
Did my Hour exercise today on my lunch break from work, busiest I have seen it for Weeks, people are ignoring and don't quite understand the severity of the situation, lets blame the Govt. and not the plebs who continue to flout the rules.
Haha, ok explain please because i didn't see all the briefing. How is it falling when I am pretty sure he said just levelling off. Did I miss hear?Because you're not paying close enough attention.
Thanks,i would like to see the figures they haven't released though,i think because it is such a crucial number for governments to know so we can really move fowards,it is going to have a really high quality test,i really hope it is usable,we really need that test nowsome better news there from Roche today - article is scathing of some competitors crap antibody tests to date and how dangerous this has been. Although he may be talking his own share price up ;-) but being Swiss I’m inclined to believe him on developments of their own antibody test ready for roll out.

Schwan did not release figures for its test’s “specificity”, or how many false-positives can be expected, but promised it would be reliable because Roche had successfully found the antibody produced by the body after exposure to the novel virus.
This graph explains a lot, a SEVEN day rolling total.I don't think the last two days confirm that stance. Whitty thinks it's levelled off.
Perhaps we either need to try alot harder and stop all non medical food related industries business for four weeks and have a proper lockdown or just abandon the whole thing and go for herd immunity like Sweden?
Very annoying to say the least, took a rare trip to the shop today and had some idiot stood within a metre of me, when I pointed it out that I didn't want him so close he proceeded to have a go at me, normally if the situation was different I would have enforced lets say the error of his ways but I just let it go and gave him his small victory, I live in a small community, I will probably see him in 2021 can't wait.I agree, we've been really strict , but some of our neighbours are starting to get very relaxed having their dad round at weekends. I know of busineses working in people's homes doing non essential electrical work like moving lights etc. Some just havent taken this seriously. Therefore this will drag out for much longer.
The UK economy can't go on like this for the next 6 weeks let alone 8 mths
But you never tried basic screening at airports and you abandoned contact tracing 6 weeks ago...Questions
…..
Contract tracing ? Boosting testing, looking at the app that is available, wider trackibg and tracing, that info will help us get key workers back to work, looking for areas that the virus is taking off again...
Thanks for the explanation. This graph explains a lot, a SEVEN day rolling total.

Even when you have it under control people keep dying and the decline in deaths is slow.
Anyone expecting it to fall off a cliff is being ridiculously optimistic.
Who’s running that study? Nicorette or Marlboro?https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...-smokers-at-lower-risk-of-getting-coronavirus
Lol. I'm an evening/weekend smoker. Been off work for a month (Teacher). Hammering them at the moment.
Especially if there is no immunity from catching it again. My new favourite academic study comes from Israel.
