Can imagine the density in new York city in particular is insane compared to most places? Basically everyone uses the subway too and they're filthy. Crammed as well. I'd guess they're an outlier compared to most places. No way it'd spread as quickly in basically everywhere apart from london in the uk.
Agree with that ,but if the almost15% for the less densely populated New York State is correct it’s still a higher figure than I’d have anticipated.

So they can then post it to Paypal who can post it back again
Sorry George, I'm not following you. I have posted cheques to my bank for years as it's easier than going to the branch. Unless of course your PayPal thingy is post lockdown. Incidentally I posted one to them a couple of days ago so I am on a watching brief. I don't think that PayPal are part of the bank clearing system.

Apols if this has already been posted (I've kept away from this thread as felt along with the news I was being bombarded with negativity and started to feel it...

Any idea about this?

Just to pick up on what other posters have said. This was nothing to do with Ramadan or ethnic minorities. It was the funeral for Clive Pinnock who was killed by a suspected drink driver a couple of weeks ago outside Tesco in Gorton: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....utes-paid-popular-manchester-dad-18071061.amp
By all accounts, he was very popular with people from multiple backgrounds. Sadly, as with 2 weeks ago when people laid tributes at the scene (many of whom ended up having an impromptu party which resulted in the police being called out to disperse them), hundreds failed to observe social distancing advice.

Ha ha. I read your post without looking at the quote but as it is directly after the post about mass gatherings in Levenshulme I assumed you were all for affirmative action. Also I assumed that you have a massive kettle.
Ha ha I did think about that after I posted.
Hoped nobody would notice...

Just had an email from work. They are taking part in the government’s ‘UK Coronavirus Testing Programme’. Home testing kits available for all our key workers and any members of their household displaying symptoms.

You can order up to 5 kits if you have that many in your house. If you are isolating, work pass on your details to the testing administrators, they they send an email with a link to order the testing kit via an online portal, delivered next day via Amazon. In the email you also book a time for Royal Mail to come to your house and collect the completed test. Results back within 72 hours.

What sector do you work in mate?
Would like to know too, I'm on the railways and hope to get this email!
