So what happens then? You haven’t worked for 4 weeks but not eligible for furlough? Does your company have to pay you? Seems a lot of companies are starting to go back and I’m wondering if there is a reason here.

if they have confirmed in writing that you are furloughed then they cannot ask you to work with those 21 days. After that you have to agree to an extension. We have been extended to 31st May but can be called back to work with 48 hours notice.

Your work should pay you and claim the amount back from the government.

Looks bad on the face of it but the key sentence for some optimism is the last sentence..I told you these scientists are hopeless at non disclosure

Potential coronavirus drug "flops in first trial" - report
An experimental drug that had touted as a potentially effective treatment for coronavirus has flopped in its first comprehensive clinical trial, according to draft results accidentally published online by the World Health Organisation.

According to a report in the Financial Times, which saw the documents, remdesivir failed to improve the condition of patients or reduce the among of the virus in the blood.

The trial, in China, studied the effects of remdesivir on 237 patients, giving the drug to 158, while keeping 79 others as a control group.

Optimism about the drug, made by US drug company Gilead Sciences, had boosted stock markets around the world at the end of last week.

A University of Chicago hospital participating in a study of the antiviral medication had found that nearly all patients suffering severe fever and respiratory symptoms were discharged within a week.

However, it was not an official trial.

Some contrasting messages there. It's not an official trial, but it's also the first comprehensive clinical trial? What's the difference?

Just been discussing it on sky news,not on their webpage yet,apparantly the women dr is quite politcal,has a blog etc,be interesting to see how this goes,it is hard to imagine that you go to work,knowing how many other in your job have died,just to find you have to wear bin bags because the PPE has run out,scary

It is a horrible dilemma facing many families. I had a serious conversation with my nurse daughter about her lack of PPE which went along the lines of your kids are your first priority. Happily those issues are resolved but it was only a matter of time until someone decided that the risks of inadequate PPE were just too much.

Thanks mate. It’s not for me. I’m fortunate enough to to work from home. Just thinking if people are being asked to go back to work wef Monday then it could be within the 21 day minimum to qualify. What happens then.

2 domestic cats have tested positive in new york,Dr Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has said animals and pets can get the coronavirus but there was no evidence they could transmit it to humans.
