It was eluded to last year by Pep. We had a deal and then we didn't.
Hence some of the leaks his mum had got involved. Subsequently, he has changed agents twice in six months.
We gave him some breathing space when he had his first child.
I do believe his mindset started to change when Germany sent him home prior to the World Cup.
Any any stage, we have heard zero from him about City and their help in his recovery.
The writing was on the wall when he rejected Dr Cugat in Barcelona for the German team doctor in Austria.
A complete slap in the face for our methods and duty of care.

I didn't know you were a rag Bill

put him int he shop window and start a bidding war - come out now and say eh is for sale and see who else bites besides Bayern?
If I was him I would have done exactly the same, he chose a highly regarded surgeon who speaks his native language at a hospital in a country that speaks his language.
I also wonder if there is a liability issue, if it had gone wrong, after ignoring the clubs instructions....Sane had seen Cugat before without complaint.
I have not proviously known any player who has gone against the wishes of his club as to their preferred surgeon.
A fitness coach, yes, but never a surgeon.

Yes it has likely cost us a fair chunk of change, I guess we will have to see what happens but its more than likely the market will crash, but I suppose at the end of the day if we get 25m and all transfers are a quarter of what they have been prior to this break it doesn't really matter. Indeed seeing as we need to find a goalscorer soon and Silva is leaving on a free the market crashing might be a good thing. As I understand it, a deal was nigh on being done prior to his injury.
Pragmatism and a fee of £100m plus £20m in add-ons.
The game against Liverpool was expected as his swansong and a final bluff from City to show we weren't bluffing about holding out for best fee.
The gamble backfired.
The doctor in Austria who performed the surgery has worked for German national team but is also the go to guy for Bayern.
My opinion is that Bayern made it conditional to Sane where he got fixed up.
The only elephant in the room is he won't have any time to show he is fully recovered with us.
They might leverage that even further.

As i have said i do not have a problem with the lad stay or go but i do feel as a fan he has let us down by not letting us know of his intentions. But there is more to this ie the Champions League, it is not finished and you can not add players, we need Sane for this competition, so if we sell or swap we need a loan back option. can not see Bayern doing that but Barca wouldAs I understand it, a deal was nigh on being done prior to his injury.

This virus is a game changer. It wouldn't surprise me if Sane stays here until his contract ends and then goes to Bayern on a free with a nice fat hefty sign on fee.
Would his agent get anything if this were the case? Or is it in the agents interest to move him on with a transfer fee?
This virus is a game changer.
Good chance there will be no football soon.
Wait until January and sign a pre contract with bayern.
The way this is panning out it could happen.
25 in 89 gamesSane's end product isn't good. He's 24 now. Not a kid. Has he even scored 30 goals for City?

You've got a good memory!Pretty much agree with this. Can be an explosive player and bags of talent but very inconsistent and loses the ball far too easily.
His defensive work is shocking you may see him sprint back once maybe twice if lucky.Pretty much agree with this. Can be an explosive player and bags of talent but very inconsistent and loses the ball far too easily.
