The elephant in the room for Brexit is how and by whom it has been delivered.
It was dissatisfaction with the EU that triggered a referendum promise, that referendum
was taken, and the leave vote won, pretty simple really.

Brexit was a choice that the UK was free to make.
True, and the people of the UK made it.

But the big problem is that it was delivered by people who hid their motivation, hid their backers and lied, cheated and generally used every dirty trick available to them.
A discussion long since rebutted ad nauseum, the remain campaign had massively more finance,
government backing, with US and worldwide support, it still lost.

These people are now our Government and they can perpetuate the con for now. Their problem is that truth does not disappear and it will eventually become apparent.
There was no 'Con' other than in the minds of conspiracy theorists, so you'll probably
be waiting for some time for your perceived 'Truth' about one to appear.

This Vote Leave Government will use every lever of the state and more to retain power as without power the future for them is very bleak indeed. Where that leads us is truly frightening.
It's a govt. voted for overwhelmingly in a GE, so I would imagine they will have no problem
using state levers, that's what governments do. Maybe the ones terrified by that prospect
should continue to stay indoors.

Setting aside your usual habit of stating very narrow personal opinions that have no substance to them as facts...……..

This is the first time that I can recall being encouraged by a post from you

Your last point - no mater how bitter and twisted - is a perverse source of encouragement

As I mentioned in my post...……..

"When all the bleating is coming from one side - then it is obvious where the anxiety really lies...."

Apparently, he wants the fishing and is a tad upset that it's being refused, so the talks are stymied
before they've even got going. We should let him have it, we'll take Burgundy in return ;)
Poor fella......

All that time getting used to Robbins and May making him look like a statesman - and now he cannot understand why the UK are not continuing to fawn over his every word.

Interesting to hear comments from Yanis Varoufakis - the core Remainers on here used to lap up his every word. When I searched Newsnow with his name - I found an article that pretty much reflects my views of the EU. The Remainers will not like the source but I thought that it read well:

Remainer says brexiteer is wrong about minds being focused on brexit during coronovirus by focusing her mind on brexit....

Katya Adler is a respected journalist with great connections across Europe mate. You wanna get your head out of your arse coz there's a massive juggernaut coming to hit the country and you might want to see it

I see the gang's all arrived to stamp all over any possible objection to their ideology ...... the outcome of this is going to be piss funny this time next year

Absolutely, and the brexit ship has sailed so better things to worry about - except for those that are still living in June 2016 it seems.
